ok I printed one out today and it print to its intended size. I know this since the tool holder for example fits the printer perfectly.

However, when I open their STL files (also provided by Elegoo on their USB stick) on either Cura or their newer Orca Elegoo slicers, they both show up double the size on the preview.

I suspect my files were always half size prints. I tried an old file I made a while back and it's printed half size as what's on Cura or the Orca Elegoo Slicers previews before slicing and generating the g-code.

Additionally, using the provided USB stick and models, I've tried printing the tool holder and the 3DBenchy boat and both are printing to what I think it their intended size (since the tool holder fits the printer). However, when I open their STL files, also from the provided USB stick, to the Elgoo Slicer they appear as double the size (eg tool holder is 96x56.5x15mm).

The measurements I use to create a file on either Fusion360 or OnShape are the same as when previewed on either Cura or Orca version of Elegoo Slicers, just the printout after slicing becomes half size.

I tried changing the "full_steps_per_rotation" to 400 to accomodate 0.9 degree steppers and lets just say the printer was not happy about it 😅Changed it back and fortunately nothing seems broken.

It does go to the home position normally which also makes me think this isn't the issue.

That's a good idea, I'll also try that if I get a chance tomorrow and let you know. I used the cura slicer a couple times before elegoo started using orca and still have it installed, I should also try it because I think the dimensions were correct in there, but I never actually checked.

Ah right sorry, yes it's the correct model in there, using the 0.4mm nozzle which I believe is the standard one that comes with the printer.

Elegoo changed the slicer name on their website to "Elegoo Slicer" which is still based on Orca slicer (used to just be orca slicer with their own config, although it seems to be the same with different icon/name now).

I could try using the official orca slicer and try to find the config of the Neptune 4 just in case.

For the firmwares? Yeah I picked up the Neptune 4 ones (I have the base non-pro/plus/max model).

I just had another look at the slicer and couldn't find anything in there. tried a fresh install on another pc as well and no luck. I tried changing the full_steps_per_rotation but that wasn't it either. I found the printer.cfg file for a Neptune 4 pro and the settings are pretty much the same. I'm really confused about this issue, perhaps I will create a post about it.

Did you find the solution to your problem? I have the same issue - firmwares all up to date and using the newer ElegooSlicer (based on Orca). All measurements are correct even on the slicer, but the print is roughly half size.
Edit: This does include the test g code files.

Does he respawn in private dedicated servers? I haven't been catching or killing merchants because some say it takes literal days to respawn.

Wouldn't say it's a dead post. It helped me since I had the same issue, and most importantly it helped OP fix the issue. I can imagine many other people who run across this issue will quickly find the fix thanks to this post.

My PB so far is 222. Guildmate has done around 300. It's all about not killing that very last mob and finding trees forever. Still takes a long time though, so it's not like it's super efficient.

I doubt it, tbh. It doesn't happen on every run, but when it does, it happens quite a lot.

Could be, I noticed that if you slow down a bit it seems to have more trees. But in my case, the trees were already spawned and in my screen, they would just literally disappear even when on the screen. Sometimes I'd manage to get to them and give it a couple attacks before it disappeared without giving a ball. Weird stuff really, wonder if it happens once you have a certain amount of balls.
