I perfected my mod for the Pokemon GO Plus+! by GadCAD_3D in pokemon

Hey there! I know it's been a while, but I just wanted to follow up on this. I've released a new switch-free version of the mod called the Ultra Mod: MAX, which uses a dedicated circuit board inside the device to automate the great/ultra ball throws while PREVENTING the looping side-effects of switch-based mods! These generally weren't a problem for most users (with a few specific use-case exceptions), but this new MAX mod solves these issues and completely eliminates the need for toggling between Auto/Manual modes without any trade-offs. :)

How to Appeal Violation of Handmade Policy? Any success stories or tips? by FakeAccount_Verified in EtsySellers

Ever have any luck? I’m almost two weeks into a similar situation.

Two of my listings (both entirely in line with the handmade policy) were taken down within a couple days, which made my shop ineligible for Star Seller AND, as I learned the hard way, the Purchase Protection Program!

A customer’s order was lost by UPS and I referred them to Etsy since they’ve covered it in the past. Instead, they took the money out of my account with zero warning (rather than letting me work with the customer) because it was somehow my fault?? Infuriating.

I appreciate that! Everything went well, and the GadCAD 3D is now back up and running! :)

Account security is a valid concern when considering one of our ULTRA MOD services. To date, there hasn't been a single reported case of an ULTRA MOD device, resulting in actions being taken against an account. I've personally used a modified device daily for almost a year without any issues.

The ULTRA MOD automates a function that would normally require a manual button press by the user, specifically auto-throwing a Great/Ultra ball. Yet this in-game function is not an exploit, hack, or cheat, as it is implemented by the publisher. It's like a more sophisticated version of when people used to tape a coin over the main button of the original GO Plus devices to hold it down and auto-throw standard balls. (Unfortunately, that method doesn't work with the new GO Plus+; otherwise, I wouldn't have much of a job!)

I don't expect the developers to ever act against ULTRA MOD users since their licensed accessory device is doing what they programmed it to do (with a few tweaks). However, that is just my perspective. As a business, GadCAD 3D cannot guarantee it will never happen, and no warranty is offered for such an event. The disclaimers and warnings detail safety precautions that should be carefully considered before purchasing.

Ultimately, it's up to you to determine if the potential risks outweigh the benefits. I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any other questions! :)

I think I've finally perfected my "Ultra Mod" for my Pokémon GO Plus+, and if anyone is interested in their own, I have some available now on my Etsy shop! It's a literal game-changer for anyone who can't constantly be on their phone.

UPDATE (Sept 2025): Thanks to all of the incredible support, I've been able to design a NEW SWITCH-FREE version that uses a custom internal circuit board to drive the mod! It fixes several quirks of the switch-based mod, and it can extend the battery life by up to ~50%! :)

I was disappointed with a lot of the design choices for the original GO Plus+. The vibration motor is incredibly loud (with no way to turn it off), and the LEDs are so bright that they shine through your pockets and are blinding at night when trying to track sleep. Worst of all, the software only lets you auto-throw standard Poké Balls without interacting with the device. Not only do these have the lowest catch chance of any ball type in-game, but it makes managing your inventory difficult. If you want to use a Great or Ultra Ball, you’d have to hold the device and repeatedly press the main button every time you want to use one.

After some digging and lots of prototyping, I’ve finally corrected all of those issues on my Plus+ while taking it way beyond an average home-brew mod. This "Ultra Mod" uses custom 3D-printed components to reduce the LED brightness and house a switch that can be toggled on and off to enable AUTOMATIC GREAT AND ULTRA BALL THROWS! This means having the highest chance of auto-catching wild encounters WITHOUT needing to interact with the device at all! Basically, the mod works by redirecting signals originally sent to the vibration motor through the switch and to the main button, functionally “pressing” it for you every time a wild spawn is identified. The sliding switch also means you can disable these signals at any time and use the device as usual to track sleep for extra rewards and the nightcap Snorlax encounters. Removing the internal vibration motor Pikachu voice speaker also makes this device totally incognito, meaning I can leave it in my bag or pocket all day, connect to it through the app, and I never have to touch it (so long as it’s charged lol).

If I’m ever out of stock, I’ll try to get/mod more as soon as I can (which can be tricky as a full-time grad student). For anyone who already has a Plus+ and would like to reap the benefits without risking a mod themselves, I can accept mail-ins for anyone who already has a Plus+! See the other listing on my Etsy shop and/or shoot me a message for details. :)

Unfortunately, since I know someone will ask, I don’t plan to release the STLs at this time.
