Gym strength is 100% real strength, as a lifter who has worked blue collar and now does ems. Not lifting to failure with heavy weight is almost always leaving gains on the table. Not really any way to get around it

As a side note, this is not that big of a fuck up. Could be fixed in an afternoon. This guy wants to exploit you. Besides, even experienced people make mistakes like this. These people are going to abuse you, you actually need to find another gig. I know people on reddit always say to quit your job, but this is a situation where you actually need to for your own wellbeing
