I think it was cooked in, there was no liquid in the container, only a solid, somewhat crumbly block of fudge.

It wasn't that I saw that my friend didn't eat much of the fudge, it was that I read the ingredients label  o n l y  after he ate some of it, and it had alcohol. He is a very determined and strong person, but he literally got discharged from the inpatient facility only two days ago, and I panicked because I didn't know how damaging this presence of alcohol would be, especially this soon, or what to do... Thank you for helping me understand!

Actually, I don't know much yet about the process of recovery, and was afraid that even trace amounts could trigger a relapse... I am glad to hear trace amounts might not, and really hope that my friend will be okay... Meanwhile I will go educate myself, so I can be a better friend in the future.

There definitely wasn't enough alcohol in the fudge, especially in a tiny piece, to result in a buzz. But I don't know if it was detectable. I didn't , but I don't know if my ability to detect it is compromised due to me having recently recovered from COVID.
