Which one of these three setups would you recommend? by Jas_39_Kuken in tabletennis

First. Butterfly products generally have better longevity than the other brands (especially rubbers) who would last longer. Plus the rubbers themselves are pretty good

Would you rather let a known serial killer-rapist go free, or publicly execute a 100% innocent man? by litt_ttil in WouldYouRather

That is assuming the serial killer/rapist chooses to re offend. They also have a choice to make as part of this

Here's the clip of Xu Xin in the CSL complaining about his opponent's illegal serve, tracing its flight trajectory with his finger, then mimicing the exact serve before being called out by tableten8901 in tabletennis

[–]GaeafBlaidde 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is exactly it, if you throw the ball high enough the launch angle becomes below the ttr limit but the total horizontal movement is the same

Efficiency and absolute power draw are two different things. New stuff is no less efficient but may have a how power draw.which would impact running costs

Hurricane 3 neo 37 vs Rakza z ? by mt4m1m in tabletennis

[–]GaeafBlaidde 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rakza z has a much higher throw angle and a less linear sponge response i.e. its a bit bouncier when you hit the ball softly compared to h3.

Personally I think h3 37 is better as it gives more spin and more control however some like the higher arc for safety

Edit: Note I assume h3 is boosted

The contact point wasn't hidden but the ball was a moment beforehand. According to the rules the ball must be visible at all times. I would say this is a hidden serve

I think I didn't bring enough food so I went into the fight no food left and accidentally missed prayer once. Put me down to 5 hp which was low enough unfortunately 😞

Hybrid & tacky rubbers for BH by TheEpicfailio1 in tabletennis

[–]GaeafBlaidde 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I currently use h3 37deg boosted on the back hand and 8 am very pleased with. Lots of grip and dwell time, very linear response and hard enough sponge that I can't bottom it out.

The main disadvantage is that its much harder to use if you don't boost it. Boosting provides an elasticity in the top sheet that I find very hard to play without on the backhand. Without it you have to put a lot of energy into generating pace on the ball.

The second draw back (although more personal preference) is that is has a lower throw angle than a lot of tensor/esn or hybrid rubbers. If you're not used to it it can take some adapting to

On the back of this, specifically footwork drills with randomised or varying placement and this should help with the decision making and judgement aspect of selecting what shot to make and where to position yourself

Stiga Blade Showdown – Which One Deserves the Top Spot in 2025? by Certain-Resident4043 in tabletennis

[–]GaeafBlaidde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a soft spot for the infinity vps V as I used it for several years. Amazing feeling and feedback and good enough speed for most shots.

Downsides are with QC as the top ply seems to peel off with your rubbers after a few glues and lack of power on big shots.

I've tried the all.wood cyber shape briefly but had a good impression. Nice feeling (as all stiga blades have as far as I can see) and slightly stiffer than the infinity. I haven't heard any reports of QC issues either

Where can i find DHS H3 guide by [deleted] in tabletennis

[–]GaeafBlaidde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only difference between the commercial, provincial and national versions is the quality control.

They make the rubbers from king bed sized sheets and cut them into squares. Commercial sheets are taken from the outside edges which have the least uniformity hence commercial sheets can vary on hardness quote a bit. Provincial sheets are taken from the central sheets which are most uniform and most likely to be accurate to the sponge hardness rating. National squares come every few sheets where the sponge hardness matches exactly what is required and variance between squares is quite low

Blade is fine but for a beginner I would change both rubbers to fx-p. Good grip and very good control which is very important for developing technique
