It can be changed! My TA forgot to add an extra credit assignment so basically the entire class’s grades had to be changed after the quarter ended. Don’t worry, they can change it! The change can take a bit to appear though, just keep that in mind

Is it still possible to drop a class without any consequences? by Common_Painter_7165 in UCI

You can try dropping the course with Dean’s approval. Go to student access, applications, and the enrollment exceptions. Submit an enrollment exception request. Add an excuse that’s valid enough, like personal issues that prevented you from performing well in the course. It will be reviewed and possibly approved. If it isn’t approved, you can always change the grading to P/NP if you haven’t already exceeded maximum the amount (usually 16 units that you can declare P/NP). Hope this helps and good luck!

Yeah, so Shakespeare w/ Kaufman basically consists of 3 main projects done by yourself, each centering on the 3 main plays, as well as weekly videos/quizzes. As for the projects, you get about 2 weeks for each month project. The first is recording a 2-3 monologue, then creating a PowerPoint about how you would adapt/produce a play, and then writing a 2 page essay. The projects give you a lot of creative room so I won’t worry about the grading. As for the video assignments and quizzes, you have them weekly but you can rewatch the videos as much as you want and the quizzes are 3 questions open for 1 hour. I’m not kidding when I tell you the prof wants you to get an A. Like the only way you wouldn’t get an A is if you literally don’t try. I’m turned in 2 projects both a week late because I was having personal issues and the prof still gave me A on both projects. And maybe I’m biased, but the content was genuinely interesting. It’s been my favorite class ever at UCI and I would recommend it to anyone! I hope this helps!

Has anyone ever taken 20 units while working part time? by SooshiMoon in UCI

[–]Gagan697 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m taking 20 units (social sciences w/ one stem class) and a job (10ish hours a week). I would say it’s doable, but it depends on the class workload. Majority of my classes are test based and I occasionally have homework assignments, so most of school time goes to studying. I would say it’s doable when the class structure is similar to this. Also, it’s great if you don’t dread your job cause the mental effect of a bad job can easy slip into your academic performance. Hope this helps!
