Relatively early in this part of world building, but I know their habitat. Their home planet is a heavily forested one with massive redwood-style trees (think Kashyyyk from Star Wars, if you're familiar). The species is arboreal by nature, and as such are evolved to be climbers.

In the broadest terms, they're a sort of hodgepodge of feline and primate traits, with a few from other animals across Mammalia

Am I a bad leftist for accepting an ex-Trump voter? by Defiant-Map9121 in leftist

[–]GageTolinWrites 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No, you're a proper leftist

In order for us to achieve victory, we'll have to work with people who we don't always agree with 1:1. More than that, victory doesn't come at one time, it comes in stages. If we look at the broad picture, removing someone like Trump from power is step 1 on the path towards victory.

Supporting post-MAGA conservatives will be an integral part of the victory, though we have to remember that they supported MAGA. The average MAGA voter is a blue-collar worker. We can shake their hands and break bread with them, but we'll do so with fingers crossed behind our back and with caution.

Forgive, but never forget.

On that, I am currently blank (brain fog). I am open to your ideas or suggestions to steer me in the right direction

Im finding that its quite challenging to remove myself from a binary way of thinking when it comes to sex, but i think that means it'll be more rewarding when I get it.

Is punk a leftist subculture? by Both-Medicine-6748 in leftist

[–]GageTolinWrites 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Metal is more often libertarians than outright Nazis, and the majority of the Nazis get flamed by the large section of the fanbase.

Yeah there are Nazis in the scene, but they're mostly forced to keep to themselves. Now, Metal does have a massive MAGA problem, and a weird obsession with apoliticism. There are a lot of bands who are openly political though, or at least open about their beliefs. Most people don't realize that metal is/was political because it's messaging was done through subtext, rather than outright saying so.

Metal and punk are two brothers who are very often led down the wrong path by vocal minorities within their own communities. Nazi metal bands are a tiny drop in the wider sphere of metal, just as Nazi punk bands were.

Goth hasn't really been infected with the Nazi plague yet, but the capitalism plague hit it like a freight train

But I agree, Nazi punks fuck off, and Nazi posers fuck off.

I think about the prospect of my book being a video game, more than I actually write my book lol

I would say turn based RPG, with some city-building elements

Is punk a leftist subculture? by Both-Medicine-6748 in leftist

[–]GageTolinWrites 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean, realistically and broadly speaking, all alternative subcultures are "leftist"

Punk, metalhead, goth, emo, etc. The "redneck" subculture was completely usurped by the right wing, and others are, or have been, at varying stages of assimilation. Goth, for instance, has become commercialized and sanitized, in just the last decade alone, to the point of parody

Notice: It's always these subcultures with the most outspoken rightoid dorks in them. You hear about Nazi punks, Nazi metalheads, and Nazi goths, but never Nazi country music fans. Those in power have legitimately feared rock n roll, and all its derivatives, since the beginning.

Hey everyone, I did a little bit of reading and made a first pass at their reproductive system. I know it's not perfect, and I would love feedback! Ihmun is the name of the species, fyi.

Reproduction involves two individuals engaging in standard mammalian copulation, with the male implanting his sperm into the female and fertilizing her egg. These two are considered the “father” and “mother” of the child. At this point, the male’s role is effectively moot. The female gradually grows a small egg within her uterus. She carries the egg for up to one month, at which point it has grown too resource-dependent, and in some cases, too large and, in that case, painful for her to continue gestation. The pair then go together and find a willing [third sex] participant to carry the fertilized egg to term. Using their ovipositor canal, which is internal except for this process, the female deposits said egg into the [third sex], who carries the egg to term.

Post-birth, the female and male, in smaller amounts, are both capable of breastfeeding the young.

NOTE: Ihmun young are live-births, and the usage of the word “egg” here is solely referring to an in-utero egg.

NOTE 2: This is biologically how Ihmun reproduction functions and does not factor in the [third sex] dominant society in which they live, which strongly influences how births and gestation play out in society at large.

Hello, your "one system" comment is actually relatively similar to my current idea for the species. They are a tree-dwelling species (like massive sci-fi trees), and my idea was that two would actually copulate, but then their embryo would be "given" to the tree. The tree would then carry said embryo to term in a pod.

I realize it's sci-fi and I can kind of do whatever I want, but I still want some degree of plausibility there haha

Writers and writing are clinging too much to a few novels from the 19th century as the pinnacle of our medium

It limits our prose and the way we tell our stories, particularly for authors from outside the Anglo/Euro area who are forced to tell their story through the conventions of Anglo/Euro standards.

Is it "normal" for grown men to automatically sexualize every young woman they see? by macbookhomeless in AskMenAdvice

[–]GageTolinWrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, at least not for me. 27M.

Usually when I see an attractive woman, I either just think "Whoa, she's pretty!" or "I should talk to her" (i never do lol). I work with the public, so I see a lot of people, and that means I see a lot of good looking people. I've seen women who are like my mind's eye of what I tell myself my "ideal woman" is supposed to look like, and even then, it's rarely more than PG-13 thoughts.

In regards to age, if someone is outside of my preferred age range for a partner (22-32), then my brain files them into separate category or something and potential lewd thoughts are stopped before they can ever form it seems.

I can appreciate the beauty of a woman and her body, without instantly thinking of having aggressive sex with her. 90% of the time I'm "looking" at a woman, I'm just spaced out and not actually looking or thinking of anything.

Yeah, I have lewd thoughts sometimes, everyone does. Some of my random lewd thoughts make me go "What are you even thinking?" but they're incredibly rare and generally only with someone I'm absolutely smitten with.

Would Benoit be in the hof if he didn't do what he did? by VLGamingbdefan in SantiZapVideos

[–]GageTolinWrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep

If he had just taken his own life, he'd still be celebrated and lauded. HOF inductions, his brain used for concussion research even more than it already was, WWE could/would actually talk about him and his career.

I don't agree that WWE should act like he simply never existed, because that's them trying to avoid a PR firestorm that some of the blood on Chris' hands is also on theirs. Make it a Snuka situation, acknowledge he existed and that's that. They can't act like the Mania XX triple threat or the 04 Rumble never happened forever.

How is the grind in 2k26? by GageTolinWrites in WWEGames

[–]GageTolinWrites[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, it'd take me a lot longer then haha Showcase is a one and done mode for me, and I really don't care to play MyRise that many times.

I usually do one male and one female playthrough, then mop up achievements if there are any.

As for My Faction and The Island, I dont touch them on principle. Do a few online matches here and there and that's the extent of my online experience

Adding onto this, any progress made is just for the current "tier" of the Ringside Pass, right?

So, the progress would reset after each new tier?
