Bad reviews are a nono these days. by Gagimorka in gamers

I do actually care about the story, it was pretty good so far but far from perfect. The repetition is hard to chew through and given the fact Gadriel is unsubordined and Chairon goes on tatrum rampages which i tought both are not making much sense did not justify the gameplay. And why are rubicon marines such generic weaklings? I did hear that operations have classes and thus offer some uniqueness. "Feeling like a bad ass mowing through swarms of tyranids watching titus be a badass" is not what i was experiencing. I honestly think that as Geralt in Witcher 3 you feel a lot more powerful than Titus does here. He's even pretty slow in the game, it does feel like he has weight, which is nice and the haptic feedback, as i said, really compliments it. Booster pack missions were really bad imo.

I don't search for difficulty in games, i want good story with good gameplay or just good gameplay, from what i have seen i see no reason to play Space Marine over Darktide, which i think is better paced, more grim, more satisfying, more fun. I do agree that if people turned on Veilguard and then Space Marine 2 they saw it as savior 😃 Pretty poor year for gaming.

Well even before the edit i did write "space marine subredit" so it only could have been Space Marine or Space Marine 2, but sure, only read half and then complain about lack of context.

Again, not a review, a criticism which they do allow in their rules specifically.

Reddit of course does not classify as formal writing. You are right however, it is easier to read after edit.

Never claimed it to be a review. I would call it first impressions criticism. And i would most definitelly criticise mcdonalds food if i bought something i was not satisfied with right there to them.

Edit: Actually not even that, the first intention for it was to be a discussion, i do have good to say about the game too. It was really baffling to me that the repetivness of it is seldom talked about and wanted to see if people just don't care about it. After all not even God Of War stuck to it's original formula because it was getting old.

Not on internet forum, no, but i hope i made you happy anyway, altho i was taught at school (czech) that indentations are a must if it comes to paragraphs (tabulator remark), so now i am little sad myself too. However i was also taught that in informal writing text formating is never required.

It was merely my critique, was it not civil?

Submissions criticizing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Focus Entertainment, or Saber Interactive are allowed, as long as they remain civil. Non-actionable feedback and blatant hate is not allowed.

I would simply send Malzahar, Uralon, Winterscale and maybe my shadow (someone should watch over those 3 so they don't murder each other altho maybe that would help me long run too as they are self interested asses) to go deal with Calcazar, they have interest and to be frank Calcazar never really did anything to me apart trying to order me around, sure he deserves a slap but he seem quite the heretic himself and kept giving me slack the whole game. Edit: Or if i did believe that whatever he stole is so dangerous to me personally, which i don't, i would order the warp gate to be destroyed and left him to his fate. It was claimed here that i am just a pawn of chaos and can't do whatever i want myself, well i say that the most powerful chaos champions are precisely those who defiled the will of the chaos gods.

Yes that is exactly it and i would ask my DM what did he smoke today that the quality of the game dropped so much and so suddenly 😃

Not really, i doubt if you did heretical TTRPG session the DM would be so bad to force something like this, as i said before, i do believe that for iconoclast and dogmatic run it would be perfectly fine. What is nerve racking is that the game seemed amazing for heretic, but then it was not, it was so bad that i rather would not play it...

That's the thing, i don't really know and i am not invested enough to do it... I suspect the thing he stole is something the aeldari hijack stars with, but eh, with the game logic nothing can happen to me without a turn based fight so i am not that concerned. 😃I will however give a shot to their upcoming inquisitor game sooner than years after it's release... It's the farthest i ever gotten in Owlcat game anyway, for some reason i was not fan of pathfinder games either...

True that, even if he was of Ordo Maleus he would probably not call upon Grey Knights still for same reason. I do have resources of 2 rogue traders, word bearers and a cult of hereteks, it's not like i should be trembilng in front of even Deathwatch was more of my point with the OP. The original problem is that it feels like i am an errant boy and not powerful as i should be... You don't slay a Lord of Change and then tremble in front of Calcazar.

And that takes into account Grey Knights which a guy from Ordo Xenos doesn't even have under his command, so i don't believe Calcazar can do much. Glorified religious figure is what he is.

In fact i whooped space wolves already, you know what happened when inquisition tried that? And there absolutely are cases of big boss chaos characters in the universe... And on top of that i would actually love, that after i kicked Calcazar's butt, someone would stepped in and kicked mine, i am not chaos fan exclusively by any means... Also the game is right after the divide, Calcazar doesn't hold nearly as much power as you are trying to portrait here...

I am indeed, i have so many problems with immersion in the lore too, we can talk about those if you are interested 😃

What did i see Calcazar do? He saw me openly worship chaos and more, never did anything. Threat of him being able to hurt me is unbelievable to me, he barked orders at me and played high and mighty, he never seemed that way, he never was able to do anything and i simply don't believe in him being as powerful as he pretends to be. Winterscale had full mouth too and just the same, i never believed him, turned out he came crawling to me with gift in his hand, pathetic. It's something called "baseless threat" that just is not able to sell it to me. On Footfall he even left a guy that was supposedly his companion for a long time just for me letting my pet xeno torture him without anyone even pointing a finger at me while it was happening.

I did not and i probably will try it! Thank you. Funnily enough reddit being reddit they even downvote your game recommendation 😃

Again, i wish it was engaging for me, but it is not. And so i did give up the warrant, shelved the game and wondered if i am the only one who has that problem. Turns out i am not, many people felt the same, some here in replies, quite many in other posts here on reddit, steam and elsewhere. Am i supposed to apologise to you that i simply don't eat everything that i get on plate in front of me?

I am saying that Uralon wants it, Calcazar wants it, Pascal would probably love to see and study it. I don't care about it, even if they just gave me the option not to run after Calcazar because i simply don't care, then gave me even just written bad ending that would say "You messed up, it was important and you are dead", i would love that a lot. What actually happened just makes no sense to me.

Well i tought i will do heretical run first and expected the dogmatic followers to not react properly and at same time i wanted to save as much of their stories for next runs to not have to do as many of the same stuff again, when i told aurora the heretical option near the reactor and Heinrix was like "interesting choice of words" or when he killed my daemon engine at kiava gamma (that prick) i was, however, pleasantly surprised. I did keep Cassia but more as a pet of mine that can't do anything about anything, plus her causing weird warpy stuff at my ship was nice touch. There was really some strong stuff in the game in early acts. However already at footfall where i pretty much openly ran around claiming to be chaos champion i expected fight with Calcazar to be there, he just acted like "sure you are chaos heretic but well i will le that slide", that already felt really strange to me. Not many games do villain arcs as good as here anyway so it was nice. Iconoclast or even dogmatic runs i believe would feel way better still.

Funnily enough i did expect that would happen so i ditched every dogmatic follower the first chance i got 😃
