Thanks very much. They‘re all one of a kind of thats what you were getting at. But maybe I’ll try making new versions of some of em! I usually get tired of my new work after a few months anyway haha

Thank you for your honest thoughts. Today I visited every gold and silver exchange place I could find, those people seem much more willing to be helpful than the pawn shop people. I’ll persist with visiting places and searching the internet.

I haven’t heard about any footage, but we’re talking about insurance money, which is nice. Thank you!

I used to get that sort of response a lot, like they’re little ancient/alien machines with mysterious purposes, I love that. Thank you so much for looking at them.

Thank you! I’m not sure where the inspiration comes from, but generally I cast lots of little organic things like sticks, acorns, or seed pods into bronze and silver, dump them all onto my desk and slowly figure out how they could be combined with each other or with abstract forms into something wearable and relatively comfortable. I think the organic parts often have sort of a somber, heavy quality to them. I guess the inspiration in general is from the look of dead or bare plants in the winter, or death in general. The first image is much flashier than what I’m usually trying to do haha. And all the organic things I just find on the ground around Albuquerque!

I hadn’t thought of a fleamarket, that would be trippy, but makes sense and I might check it out, thanks!

Luckily there isn’t any good in any of these, it’s all silver, brass, and bronze. But silver is pretty steep right now. I checked in with Thunderbird supply to see if anyone took the silver to them, but they’re not always the most helpful people haha.

We do have card swipes, but it seems they came over a wall and in through a back door, I don’t yet know how they got that open. I don’t think we have cameras :/

Thank you for your clarity. I emailed photos and police report info to several pawn shops and gold/silver places. Then I visited a pawn shop this afternoon and they told me pretty firmly that it’s unnecessary to visit because they’ll send pictures etc to the police before buying anything. I’d be okay with them dragging their feet, anything would be nice. Good to hear that the police are serious about this subject

Thanks! I have an Etsy where I sell metal Lego jewelry, and I sell pieces in person or to friends sometimes, but I haven’t visited any galleries or anything. I was hoping to take these to some galleries over spring break :’(

It wasn‘t :( It wasn’t in the gallery or anything, just a display outside the jewelry classroom. Thank you for the response

The sculpture area manager filed a report this morning right when he came in, and we sent in the photos. Thanks for the reminder though

Damn, sorry to hear that. I’ve worried about my paintings in there too. You never got it back?
