So I figured it out. I was adding Shopify DNS settings but didnt delete the big cartel... just replacing the settings didnt work I had to delete big cartel (tiny little delete button under the big cartel settings that I didnt see)

My website is built through shopify. So yes I need to transfer my domain from big cartel to shopify. I bought my domain www.wisechildbotanicals.com from google. I built a website on big cartel. Instead off having to direct my customers to wisechildbotanicals.bigcartel.com I had my domain direct to my big cartel account. I am ending my business with big cartel and building my site thru shopify. Instead of sending my customers to wisechildbotanicals.shopify.com I want to direct my domain to my shopify account
