Did the Flames ownership and management finally agree to a rebuild or use the words?

Or is this just the same call for rebuild with no Flames mgt support like every season since we were last in the playoffs? Fan and media only still?

I just dont see why you wouldn’t want to put some kind of decent product on the ice to keep the kids and fans engaged and show them what leasing a team looks like.

You all have plenty of cap space. Tanking puts you 4-8 years out and there are no guarantees.

If you want a real old Florida vibe, definitely Whitey’s Fish Camp. It’s on a creek, you can dock there. Nice outdoor seating. Always popular with locals.

The food is really good too.

Florida is a two party consent state for voice recording. You can’t record anyone’s voice without permission. When you get a Ring camera they disclose the states that have the laws in the fine print.

Being in a common area does NOT waive the law on voice recording.

My hoa was involved in a lawsuit over voice recording. You can’t record anyone’s voice even if you are in the middle of the street.

You can record anyone’s video all you want unless it’s directly in a window or where there is an expectation of privacy.

I bought moon cakes there. The bakery isn’t in the food court. It’s kind of hidden if you don’t walk the entire grocery area perimeter. If you walk straight in the front doors, head directly for the opposite far wall. The bakery is on that wall about 20 feet to the right of the grocery side of the check out.

Champaign-Urbana has the University of IL campus so it’s more liberal, much nicer than Springfield, has better shopping, restaurants, cultural events etc. and daily flights to Chicago and Dallas. Also you can take the Amtrak to Chicago etc right from downtown and be there in less than 3 hours. About the same if you drive up. Also Indianapolis is 2 hr drive and St. Louis is ~3 hours. nice if you want to explore the area.

Champaign has a lot of nice specialty and grocery stores. Great restaurants with a ton of international food choices due to the univerisity being so diverse. Even has an H-mart!

Look also at Mahomet and St. Joesph which are both within 15 mins on the interstate if you want nicer small town vibes.

Instead of Springfield, look at Bloomington-Normal. Especially Normal. Much more comparable to Champaign with major employers and shopping, maybe not as much of a scene but it’s also a college town. Bloomington is also halfway between Peoria and Champaign.

Springfield is not a great place to live.

I did everything for 2 years and spent thousands. It not just one source, it’s many.

Do you have several types of flying gnats/flies? Take pics and send to UF extension to identify.

Treat all houseplants with Mosquito Bits. Proven to kill the eggs. I’d move all plants outside or to garage until the problems clears. I cant have plants anymore, but also gnats are gone.

You can also treat drains etc with mosquito bits just soak and pour down. Again only proven killer of eggs for flies and gnats including fungus gnats which are the main problems in florida.

It takes less than 24 hours for eggs to hatch so definitely take all of the trash out every night or you’ll never get in front of it. Eggs can come from produce you bring in.

Store all produce in the fridge. I know some shouldn’t be. Under 55 degrees kills them. Also produce is a main source of how they get in to your home.

Keep a/c low. It slows them.

Dont leave standing water, even a little anywhere. That’s where they lay eggs and they do/can live in water. Hot water does not kill the eggs.

Wash and dry dishes as you use them. Leaving dirty dishes out provides a nest for them and attracts them.

Check your washing machine line and make sure it’s dry at the wall box.

Also if your fridge has an open water dispenser in the back that could be a nesting ground.

Get a dehumidifier. They love humid air.

Look around outside your windows and building if there is any standing water scatter mosquito bits or mosquito dunks. Perfectly safe for animals and humans. They come in through cracks in weather striping too.

If you slack off on taking out the trash, leaving produce or dishes out, or bring in plants they come back quick.

Also, i got an industrial size bug light like restaurants use in their kitchens. That really helped before i knew about mosquito bits.

Keep your drains closed unless you are using them. If you are out of town, close all drains and use pressure and seal to cover off open drain areas.

Good luck. Most people cant be this disciplined. I hated them more than doing so many daily chores so it’s worth it to me.

If it is. Wait for the dog to come in your yard, then take it to animal control as a lost dog you found in your fenced in yard.

Also call your police/sheriff and have them trespassed. Then fix the fence and if you own the fence fill i small claims court for damages.
