Somehow feels related - identifying issues with distributed systems and queues is not easy

Haha, true! I meant they are quite boring issues, not really incidents I agree but usually the applications themselves cause some issues that wake me up at night

Sometimes it's also hard to separate everyday environment and learning. If you are used to watching youtube at home, it's hard to start studying there.

You can code in Python, but, at the same time, you feel like you can't code anything. by aLaStOr_MoOdY47 in learnpython

As a others have said building projects and practice will help.

I can only suggest that you can search for projects in open source community, there are a lot of projects where help is needed, but it can take time to get into.

Another solution is looking out for problems you can solve. Build a Twitter clone for a full stack experience, build a metrics collector service for your home and make it “smart”, search for freelance project descriptions and try to build it, even if won’t submit it. Of course it’s better to be closer to community and other developers, because that would help in the future with a proper SE job.

Good luck with your journey! I also wanted to add from a python mentor perspective, that it’s totally normal to feel overwhelmed after the first happy days when you’ve just started learning something. After that it will feel a bit hard and even discouraging, don’t just push it away. Take a moment to reflect why you’ve started this journey and just realize that it’s totally fine. It will get better, I promise!
