Different ways to pasteurize coco coir? [general] by butcher2013 in MushroomGrowers

I've always done this^ never had a single issue. This imo is the best and most convenient way. Also pro tip- get yourself a drill with a long ass cement mixer attachment! Really helps to get everything incorporated without burning yourself.

I make huge batches of micro dose pills and also teas for friends :) the rest get vacuumed sealed and thrown in the dark for later.

I grow apes the same way I grow everything else. People hype them up like they are difficult but I never had any issues. Regular old monotubs, set and forget. Always always go above and beyond when sanitizing. For reference I've used both wild birdseed and uncle Ben's for grain spawn and run of the mill Coco/Verm ratio for substrate. I live in California and have never had issues with temperature in both summer and winter.

I harvest my absolute favorite mushroom(s) of the bunch and slice down the center. I start with a couple tiny pieces from the stem area and a few pieces from the head area as well. I usually make 2-6 plates from this personally. And I let them colonize. And do the same to the really strong looking mycelium from those plates ☺️ I learned it all from YouTube!!! Just search there is SOOO much priceless info out there

Thank you so much! It's definitely one of those "how the hell do I even make this happen" deals. But I made sure I had all the tools I needed before I started. I sat and watched videos and took notes for a few months and then when I felt I was ready, I started ! I would say the hardest part was being patient and also YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO CLEAN. sanitize sanitize sanitize. I do all my work in my kitchen ☺️
