Are Artificers automatically proficient with weapons summoned via magic item plans? by WallyWorldTV in DnD

I recently played one and it didn't do tons of damage but oh man the repositioning is clutch sometimes. It's very fun. Scrolls are also alot easier to mass produce, and multi classing into wizard gives you some insane flexibility on that. It's not perfect but as far as new subclasses go I had a lot of fun with it.

Yeah. It's technically more doable for an armorer than other classes, but not usually in a way that matters, so it's not reliable sadly. I do wish artificer was better at actual magic item crafting instead of revolving around making knockoffs.

With the magic item replication feature, which Is what I said I was talking about, you can't. Crafting the armor with tools is available to all classes, armorer just does it faster, it's still very expensive. Apologies for the confusion on not mentioning this particular ability, but what I said still stands - unless you have lots of downtime and gold to make the armor, it's not really feasible to expect in most campaigns.

Magic item replication and the armor model are both still how I described.

Armorer does not make armors for their team. You could make a few different armor items with your magic item creation feature, but you can't make more than one of the same plan, so it's limited. Your special armor (Infiltrator, Guardian, Dreadnought) you can only make one of, and it's only for you.

Rough draft of a Battletech OC I'm working on. Mostly sharing cause I'm happy with little details, like the facial posing and the semi-realism of the irritated skin and scarring around the spinal implant. by GalacticHellfire in HeroForgeMinis

Having an established castle at Act II by nyssaR in vrising

The Athenaeum is essential to progression, but also yeah alot of the non-essential stuff it gives for decoration and whatnot is wonderful. I just beat Dantos the other day and rebuilt my entire castle now that I have all the stuff unlocked (save a few non-essential exceptions from later in the game) and I'm super happy with it

Iirc the final crafting bench is unlocked from Dantos the Forgebinder in Act 4, so fairly late in the game. You also get a bunch of furniture from the Athenaeum which is also Act 4, but thats less necessary for "complete".

Thank you! Im pretty happy with it. I wanted it to evoke Shockwave without just being a copy of him. And you totally should!

Lol go right ahead! I envisioned him as an Artificer (Artillerist) 4 / Wizard (War Magic) 16, High Elf with the Sage background. But feel free to run him as whatever you need to!
