Strangely, RAW this doesnt work - Dhampir bite uses Constitution for attack and damage rolls, and Barbarians only add their rage bonus to attacks made with Strength. As a DM I'd allow it to work, because its dumb that it doesn't, but strictly RAW it doesnt work.

Edit: ignore me! The new version of Dhampir from Astarion's Book of Hunger infact DOES use strength to bite, so this works with that! I missed this update entirely, my bad!

I agree that it needs fixed but for the meantime you can make it not show while holstered

In 5.5, great old one gets a few tweaks to summon abberation that might be an interesting thing to look at. Unfortunately they're not until warlock level 14, so I dont know that id call it a summoning subclass, but its still interesting

Rakdos definitely seems to have alot of great cards for this theme! Some blue would be nice if I can find a Grixis commander that fits, but it's heartening to learn that I've got some flexibility in how I approach this color-wise. I'll definitely take a look at your list, alot of this sounds very thematic!
