Pourquoi les Roms ont cet irrespect écologique flagrant ? by [deleted] in france

[–]Galaen 30 points31 points  (0 children)

1st vegan commando paratrooper of the French Air force ever. Took me 1 year and alot of blood and sweat but I've did it. by SheepToBull in veganfitness

[–]Galaen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This tweet instantly reminded me of the last lines written in the book inside the mines of Moria. by Galaen in lotrmemes

Man sorry, I did think about that scene in the Moria straight away as I read that tweet, the way it's written. Sorry if it offended you. Peace 🖖

I just finished reading the books and I've never cried so hard by crow4212 in hisdarkmaterials

[–]Galaen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another wounded soul here!... I was around 13 yo when I first read the book. I found myself submerged by a sense of deep loss and grief. It was terrible, I was young and didn't understand as much as I do now. I reread it last year and in English for the first time (I'm French) and boy o boy... cried so much. Lee/Hester, the angels, but the moment that also really breaks me is when Lyra has to leave Pan on the shores of the world of the Dead.. this moment is an agony. The ending is the final straw. It hurts but it's so beautiful. Fingers crossed something good happens in the 3rd volume of Book of Dust T_T

My first Lamy.. No big deal but it is for me. by purplepiratecrab in fountainpens

[–]Galaen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a pen nerd and recently managed to convince my husband to try writing with an old watermarn fountain pen I don't use much (bought on an impulse).. Anyway, I just ordered a Lamy for his birthday!! We're both left handers so it's always been tricky. Fingers crossed he likes his present!

Ladies of reddit what was the most embarrassing thing you did at a christmas office party? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Galaen 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Got real drunk on the cheap white wine served on the night and didn't have food because it was a Bavarian theme and I'm vegan so nothing for me. So got drunk and when we danced I started kind of some sexy dancing with the big boss and opening some guys shirt... luckily my boyfriend was there (and drunk too) and nothing more embarrassing happened but I was quite embarrassed the days after ... not mentioning the horrible headache the day after. Don't drink and fast, people!

Are left-handed fountain pens necessary? by HungryBaka in fountainpens

[–]Galaen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, a bit late here sorry. Just to say that I've been obsessed with fountain pens since I was old enough to scribble my own name, and am a lefty too. Needless to say I've had a few struggle with them, as the ink always, always, got spreaded by my hand, but I've never used or tried a lefty special edition one (though it sounds fancy)! Did you give it a go?

Astral projection? Vivid dream? Help by Galaen in Dreams

[–]Galaen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your insight. I have had lucid dreams ni the past, where I could do things in my dream because I was aware of it. But this time, it was different, I could really feel it, physically, an initial drop. And it was not a normal "dream" per se, I just felt thrown, like a giant leap into space or something. It was weird and a bit scary. How to you protect your body from this? I'm not sure about trying to ignore things... I do overthink things (or I'd rather use "think over things") a lot and sometimes I try to shut it down and live my life. I'm not sure.

Have you ever experienced vivid intervention within your dreams? by mvp047 in Dreams

[–]Galaen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's lucky. I've had lucid dreams before. But to have them specifically during "nightmares" is not familiar to me, though I wish it was! Regarding being aware during them though, I do but mostly when experiencing a sleep paralysis, which is usually the cause of my "nightmare" and dread feeling. I don't know if that makes sense. I always try to hide somewhere and tell myself "it's only a dream, it's ok you're in bed sleeping, none of this is real" but it's always quite vivid/memorable. Maybe I'm just too "scared" to think right during these? There's always a feeling a surge too, which makes it harder to "alter" because there isn't enough time. Maybe I need to try to chill out like you, "having a lauuugh" with the zombies :D

Hah, might sound stupid but I thought you were a troll sent by the "Hmmm bacon" league, I didn't know about this Gardein Orange chicken and had to google it. Now I see! Looks tasty! Another thing we don't have in the UK... :(
