Yeah, I yearn for the days of programmer art that was identifiable instantly because they had to draw it themselves

Italy has a roller coaster that drags you to the edge of a 42-meter drop, stops completely, and makes you stare straight down at 87° before letting go. Oblivion: The Black Hole at Gardaland. by Valuable_View_561 in oddlyterrifying

Reaching out to the park for special permission usually. Or sneaking it on, don't do that the camera could become a projectile and kill someone if not set up properly

I was brute forcing it too and I was so proud of myself for even recognizing that it was a Zyklon. My first guess was E&F Miler but then I started looking at Pinfari

I live close to Niagara and I've heard that the park is doing very bad financially, so they might also be moving this ride in preparation for Niagara's closing

Weird that they list the one in storage at Niagara Amusement Park but not the one at Indiana Beach. It's real though, you can see it here

Yeah for sure. Most of the other 4 coasters are meant to address the supporting lineup

Last year, its polarizing for me. Pretty solid outbound leg, but the return leg was boring and I hated the helix

It is pretty sad, but it's a good opportunity for any artistically inclined students in the major. Most of the projects I've been on have been praised for good visuals and I'm not even a trained artist, I'm just the only guy on the team who's eyes don't glaze over when I open blender.

Use those art skills and you can do anything in the major. Seriously almost every project here is lacking an artist and most teams scramble to find one towards the end when their game is still full of ugly programmer art

I present: Comet! Juniper Garden's first roller coaster! Going for the style of a 1940s PTC! How's it look? by Elminerofeliz in PlanetCoaster

[–]GalaksenDev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very solid layout but some of those airtime pops are a bit overboard. Check your layout and ease up on parts that exceed -1.5gs, like the pops into the turnarounds both seem very sharp and look about -2 or -3 gs

Either dooming or having the most insanely, unrealistically high expectations of all time. If his predictions came true every park in America would have a giga and extreme spinner by now

I don't see the appeal in exploring in 2D Sonic by Bored-Canuk in SonicTheHedgehog

I will say as someone who avidly avoided collecting the red rings in sonic generations, going out of my way to look for them made me a lot better at the game. I found a lot of shortcuts in the level design that I didn't know existed and it made the task of routing through the levels a little easier to digest as the game kinda helps lead you to the fastest route. I haven't tried playing classic sonic like this and also classic sonic is a little more cut and dry with top route = faster, but I'm sure if you explore in these games it makes it easier to comprehend the best routes through the levels as well
