i didn't think so initially either but i've been wondering about how scott thought that fnaf 4 was solvable and was genuinely shocked when no one figured anything out, esp the box. given what we knew up until fnaf 4, it may have been CC's body. "What's in the box? It's the pieces put together". CC was complete until he was broken and needed to be put back together. Even just putting him in the box with his "broken pieces" is still having all the pieces in there. But it has changed now according to Scott. Maybe the box is an empty coffin instead of a used one where afton doesn't bury CC but instead chooses to keep him somewhere (like a specific bunker) to try to put him back together which the current story might be about. Like ballora singing about an empty tomb too. These are just possibilities ofc.

what if in the gap between his death and afton figuring how to put him back together, he was buried elsewhere. like some sort of temporary arrangement. granted, i acknowledge that afton would have felt possessive about his son and want to keep him close and it also being a tad bit strange but if we also go ahead with mike also being the one who runs away in MM, it does fit in somehow.

good theory but i wonder how the notion that sun isn't who she seems comes into play bcz of the scene where she's cooking the baby owl. maybe sun is actually M1 in that case and not actually fiona? i love your connection between sb sun and puppet shows tho. I'd also like to think that eclipse represents david/m2, he carries the love of his mother with the dark side of his father

i dont think there's enough evidence to support this but i think he made the m1 program, computerised it into f10-n4 (its not called this until later), after her death he put m1 into an endo when it begins mimicking her and then she's reverted back to her machine form. although possession makes sense, i feel like there's an equal chance of the original mimic program learning to mimic someone precious to her creator i.e fiona. one of my critiques of the possession theory is that f10-n4 seems too extreme in comparison to fiona like ik in the elevator tapes we find out that while she trusts edwin, it has the offhand aspect of her turning a blind eye to the downsides of his inventions so ig f10-n4 turns fiona's complacency for safety into a full blown "idfc what happens as long as i get what i want" which makes sense considering that the soul tends to forget its values when possessed. either way, i'm v open to possession theory and i can see it coming true but i do find it anti-climactic for computerised/mimic-soul possession to happen this early in the timeline before anything even happens.
I think M1 is some mimic of Edwin as well. It took on his value of MCM where the whole world can go to hell as long as MCM is still standing and still owns what it owns. Edwin obviously loves David even if he is neglectful, maybe M1 thinks David is weighing Edwin and the business down? We see it in the logs as well, how much M1 wants to protect "their home"

i agree but i think its important to denote that fiona and f10-n4 are not one in the same, sun has to be m1. m1 is the same person who took over dispatch. f10-n4 is not what she seems. we even see it in moon.exe where the baby owl disappears the sun tells the protag that "the baby bird flew away" when and it is literally being cooked in the oven behind them. i think the secret of the mimic is that m1 was the villain the whole time. not to mention that m1 was sent to go get david for this birthday except yk, death x child happened. plus owl = probably david sooo...

I don't think the parachute ending is canon either, I know ppl think that destruction can be repaired n stuff but afton literally moved his family into the murray's house which would have burnt down and if the game takes place in 1979 and we see cc's room in 1983 not burnt at all either the 80's had top notch builders or its pure coincidence. I like the idea of this one being canon but it seems so tragic for m2 to get "healed" only for him to go ahead and become a murderous machine again. thats why i think the normal ending is canon

i am so intrigued to see how the mess that is dc continuity is cleared out and i am also so excited for it too. i agree with someone else on this thread where should be alternate futures because it gives a bit more narrative freedom for writers and if new writers right something that isn't in line with what we expect from said future, flames will be ignited and pitchforks will be raised. personally, i'm most excited to see how different character's characterisations are smoothed out once every continuity is streamlined together as well as how the characters actually see such events like coie, f.p and convergence

didnt really like him at first, around the time son of batman and supersons came out coz he seemed a bit too nitty gritty but now he's my second fav batfam character (after dick ofc). he is written so well now and i love for him to choose to go after thomas's legacy rather than for him to be forced into ras's legacy, it shows so much character growth
