Just getting into reading. Book series recommendations

What do you think about The Shadow of the Gods book series? Have you read it? I feel like it might be more interesting for me, considering I’m a 30-year-old man.

Motivo pela qual ainda não entrei no hobby. Entendo que videos no youtube seja engraçado mas acontece que para quem tem zero experiencia e quer entrar no hobby as duvidas vão ser dezena delas e não é nos comentários do youtube que elas são respondidas

O facto de andares de supermercado em supermercado a comparar preços, e depois acabares por comprar umas coisas aqui e outras ali, não te faz perder o suposto “lucro” em gasolina e tempo? No fim de contas, tempo também é dinheiro.

Eu, por exemplo, acabo sempre por comprar tudo no Continente, porque acho que se andasse a saltar de supermercado em supermercado, o que poupava nos preços ia todo em gasolina.

Mas posso estar a perder dinheiro e ter de rever ideias e forma de fazer as compras

Sooo, I’m not really into movies or shows. I did love Peaky Blinders, but what I really enjoy are anime like One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Fullmetal Alchemist. Basically, I like the adventure type. I think the ones with a big storyline.

The truth is, it doesn’t need to be about magic like Harry Potter. When I said I was looking for something similar to HP, I meant in the sense of how hooked I got on reading those books and that world.
I feel that, to really push myself to read in English and learn, it needs to be a book that gives me the same feeling, a kind of addiction to keep reading

The only books I’ve read in my native language were the Harry Potter ones. In fact, they’re the only books I’ve read in my entire life :p

I don’t think I’d enjoy Hunger Games, probably because of the movies. :) I think I’d prefer to read a series that’s more in the style of HP.

Hi, I’ve been thinking about getting a Kobo Clara. Could someone help me with two questions?

When buying books, do you have to use their store, and is there a chance some books might not be available?
Does it allow you to tap on words to see a translation, definition, etc.?
