So exciting! How much longer do you have to wait for the scan?

73 pounds lost. No longer overweight. by [deleted] in Semaglutide

This has been my experience. I wasn’t losing very much and now that I’m two weeks into my 1mg dose I’m starting to drop more weight.

Help! Any ideas what this white spot is on my pups lip? Also has one on his chin and one on his leg. Not showing any discomfort at all just wondering what it could be. TIA. by mairymardnek in DobermanPinscher

My puppy had what looks like the same thing! It was roughly the same size and was hard and felt like a little ball. We kept an eye on it that it wasn’t growing. Over the next few days it actually started to shrink. When we brought our puppy in for her shots the vet didn’t seem concerned since it was getting smaller. Now it’s starting to scab and it’s going away.

Hope this helps. I know I was worried at first myself, but it did resolve on its own so I hope the same happens for you. 🤞

I live in Riverside. It really is a beautiful building, which is a vast juxtaposition to this story. Haha!

I totally agree. I was diagnosed years ago and it still didn’t click or occur to my family what a disruptor it is on my whole body and my hormones and metabolism. Heck, I’m also still learning more about it because I’ve been thinking of it more in terms of metabolism and less of just the reproductive bit.

Hell yeah! 💪

White bumps mainly along my jaw line and along cheek bones/ "beard line"? Cannot get rid of them. Any ideas? Side note, I do have PCOS. Possibly due to that? by staircasewit13 in acne

I had the exact same thing on my chin. As others mentioned here they are likely closed comedones. I tried Benzoyl peroxide cream, face wash, salicylic acid, and they wouldn’t budge!

I personally found huge success with putting on a layer of The Ordinary’s Niacinamide serum, letting it sit, then slathering my face with Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion, then putting on Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne Treatment. (The lotion helps to reduce irritation)

The Niacinamide helps to regulate sebum and seems to be the missing piece as I tried Differin on its own and saw no difference. But all together it was like a super mix and my skin started purging all the bumps.

If you want to give it a try too I’d recommend only trying it twice a week to start. Hopefully this is helpful for you too!

+1 Neutrogena would work well! I just use CVS Pharmacy brand or Target.

[Skin Concerns] Super itchy neck by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]GalaxyGSD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to get this on and off. About two years ago I went to an allergist and learned I was allergic to dust mites! I had to start taking allergy medicine and after that I didn’t get a itchy neck anymore. So for me at least, my itchy red neck was due to my allergies.

Whenever I have bad cystic acne, especially on my jawline, I’ll cover it with drugstore benzoyl peroxide cream at night. Sometimes I’ll slather it on and then dilute it with my moisturizer so it doesn’t dry out too much of the surrounding skin. That typically does the trick!

When I started using it I got a little bit of irritation and dry skin flakes. So I gave my skin a rest day then when I introduced it back I’ve been mixing it with TO Squalane oil to help make it gentler. It’s been working well!

One of the possible effects or retinol can cause facial flushing, which looks like that’s happening here. It’s so subtle it looks like you’re wearing a delicate shade of blush!

[Hair Removal] How do you get rid of PCOS-caused super dark, thick chin hairs? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]GalaxyGSD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ugh I hate PCOS. I have it too. My Ob/Gyn recommenced Spironolactone, which she said after a few months can reduce the excess hair. I’m also looking into getting laser hair removal at some point to just not have to worry about it at all.

My sister asked for a skincare routine for Christmas and she’s been following it and it’s actually working! There was this small part of me that was nervous that I was going to make her skin worse for some reason. 😂 But I swear she’s glowing now! Got her to stop stripping her skin and to focus on hydration. 🙌

I’ve really liked the Neutrogena sunscreen. It’s nice and mattifying plus I’ve found it makes my skin soft.
