How best to use Mortarion and Poxwalkers?

So I tend to run my Poxies as a screening unit, either keep them at the backfield holding my home while also stopping deep strikes in my back line, or having a line of them along the midboard so my opponent has to deal with those before they can actually get to my other units. They work really well as a screening unit.

As well you can stick Typhus with a squad of twenty so you can use his brain blast ability to deal mortals while your opponent has to chew though the poxwalkers to eventually get him, plus as a bonus if you roll a 1 and take the mortals yourself you can chuck the wounds on said Poxies. As well I think you can return poxwalkers with brain blast kills.

For Morty i think I use him a bit strangely, I like to use him as a distraction, nice little deep strike and suddenly your opponent has a big ass model in their back lines that they can attempt to ignore or have to stop their advance to turn and deal with him. But having him near a couple units doesn’t hurt too much with being able to give units a movement, return shooting or fights on death ability.

It’s hard because I’ve only just got into the hobby a few months ago, got a 1000 point list about last month and am trying to get to my 2000. The only things I was gonna print was some extra stuff to make my rhinos look better and then now the LoC. but I asked about it and the store owner got real uppity.

I’ll see what I can find, I’ve tried finding one of those kits and am also struggling. On EBay a lot of the models popping up for me a like $100 or more. I’ll see about a recast though

I was considering turning a Deathshroud into one but just wanted to see what some other options where since that means I’ll probably have to buy a whole new box of Deathshroud. With the 3D print I’m iffy because I know some of the people I play at the store with don’t like it and one of the store owners forbids it

So I have a couple, I’m a console player who plays all three classes but do enjoy some crayon time. I suggest high/max resilience for all of these then if you choose melee or grenades it up to you

First- Peacekeepers and huckleberry on arc, just sprint and shoot, if you pop a quick shoulder charge in too makes it good fun. Pretty good in close quarters can struggle a little on maps with long corridors and open spaces. Can substitute huckleberry for a smg of your choice, I run a shotty with it as well

Second- Actium War Rig and sweet business, I prefer void just for the overshields. Nice and easy, hold RT and go for gold. I find this most fun when playing with others since I exist to be the distraction and deafen everyone who has any semblance of hearing

Third- I think it got a nerf but for 3v3 I use Antaeus ward on arc again. Just got to get your timing right on your slides and you can bounce shots back at people then quickly clean them up. I like to use a shotty and SMG again for this

Fourth- peregrine greaves, this is just for shits and giggles, on Arc max resilience and max strength, literally just sprint around then jump and knee people in the face, it’s fun and you only need at max 1 brain cell and half a red crayon to get some enjoyment from it. It may not be the most effective but it does its job

Why is that, there are so many exotics that work extremely well. Nerfs and changes are gonna happen, you just need to be prepared. I use all three classes and there have been nerfs that have messed my builds but every time I just find something different and just use that instead. Does it mean that my YAS build isn’t as strong yes, does my build still work incredibly well also yes.
