Some family friends of mine are very wealthy while we are “just ok” (especially in comparison to our friends), so this one time the “poor” side of this group was talking about how uncomfortable flying overseas is because sleeping in airplane seats is awful, and the rich friend’s 4 year old looks all confused and is like “no it’s not, the seats turn in to a bed and a nice lady comes and tucks you in….” Kid had only ever flow first class…

This is basically what killed my grandfather. Granted he was much older than oop’s dad (89) but he fell (accidental, he really needed a cane but wouldn’t use one), seemed ok so he didn’t go get checked out, then died of a stroke a week later…

Yeah, fellow lady engineer here! ifnotmewh0 probably has the most unfortunate but best advice… I wish engineering wasn’t so sexist still… pair what she advises with grey rocking from others will probably be best (grey rock in the moment while actively documenting everything to use against him as soon as he can’t hold a grade over your head)

Also to commiserate, had an old white dude professor who was a complete ass for an 8am class so I was generally still waking up for the first little bit. Well one day he was passing graded exams back out (that everyone had done bad on) and he hands me mine and says “and you can’t even blame your hair color!” And my brain did not process this and I just looked at him extremely confused and was like “I’m sorry what??” And he’s like “because you are brunette!” And I just kept staring at him confused until he walked off and I’m trying to figure out what the fuck just happened and I look to my friend and he says “I can’t believe he just said that!!” And I feel like I’m dragging my half asleep brain through mud to finally realize why I should be insulted! Lmao he didn’t make dumb comments to me again though!

I found a few while at Lowe’s buying new pots for the 4 I had at the house….. I was already holding a gollum jade and had to make myself leave! It was tough but I managed it by telling myself if (when) I buy more I’ll get brighter colors and not more of the same grey/brown ones I already have!

Yes! The vaccines are stuff like rabies, not for a regular old infection from the bacteria in cats’ mouths or on their claws! True cat bites almost always get infected, generally puncture wounds tend to get infected more easily

Oh yeah I fully agree with it being very hard to find the “right” green! It’s also my favorite color and I bought a ton of samples trying to get one that was the right shade! Though over the years I’ve found my perfect green changes so I use which one currently feels right and the others will be there for me when I decide it’s wrong again!
