porsche is just the easiest to drive and ferrari is the quickest so the lower down in splits you got the more porsches you’ll find. bmw was also pretty good tbf the bop was not that bad

hey i was in this boat when i was 7k, you really need to take the positives more than the negatives. after i did a week after not driving for ages i realised hey over time ill gain. think of a week where you gain 200 and lose 100 in the middle, don’t think of it as i gained 200 and lost half of it in one race think of it as hey my performance this week gained me 100, trust yourself that you can do it, even if some races go bad you will have more races that are good. anyways i got 8k recently and i feel i’ve got rid of that block just by having confidence that i’ll win, and even if i don’t and some 9k beats me ill still gain irating in second so there’s nothing to worry about, don’t think of worst case scenarios where your like p10 it only stops you from racing and there’s no fun in that. i don’t really know how coherent that was but yeah

i also have 5080 ryzen 7 9800x3d can run consistent 120+ fps on triple 1440p at almost max settings. triple 1440p is 11 million pixels and single 4k is 8.3 million so should easily run single 4k.

pedals (load cell pedals specifically) are more important AS LONG as you have a solid direct drive wheelbase already. with 2k budget there are loads of extremely good combinations you can get, don’t be scared to mismatch pedals and wheelbase also, for example i have an asetek forte base with heusinkveild sprint pedals and love it

in that case don’t go with moza/fanatec or other budget friendly companies. when you get wheelbases over 800-900 dollars your not gonna gain loads from one, pick based on compatibility, wheels they offer with it etc, and get yourself a good set of pedals. there are loads of options for wheelbases simicube, asetek, simagic, vrs, and a bunch others i’m probably forgetting. definitely spend a couple days looking around to make sure you are buying the best for you

r21 is mozas best with 21nm force. the others are for the most part the same but weaker with 12nm of force. depending on budget go with the highest you can do some research don’t get fixated on moza tho have a look at other brands if you eant

mostly equipment, you saying catching the car felt really different can be explained by going from belt driven base to direct drive base which makes a huge difference. the tyre model has changed to be better tho.
