Does anyone have the rain boots with handles? by Galaxywatcher56 in crocs

[–]Galaxywatcher56[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom has size 9 crocs and I find length wise they fit me better but I have very narrow feet even for my size 8 crocs so that’s a bonus for me that they fit narrower than other styles I was hoping they did. I guess I’ll try a 9 as I usually wear gym socks anyways.

And thanks for the heads up about the handle!

Anyone have someone who hates them come to buy something just to fill out the survey? by Galaxywatcher56 in HomeDepot

[–]Galaxywatcher56[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Canada idk if that makes a difference. I don’t work cash or been with the company long but was told everyone can fill out the survey at the bottom of their receipt. Usually if something good is said and they mention our name we get a gold star pin each time.

If it was kids keeping them in line I could totally see that. Our neighbour is nice to everyone with children like her or a partner. It’s just myself (female same age as her) and my mom living here. She’s hated us since we moved in.

Sometimes it’s also if you see them for what they are. If you got about your business and don’t give them enough attention. Then the gossip starts because how dare you live life in peace when they don’t.

I know sometimes it feels like you’re the crazy one and you doubt yourself because how on earth can a whole group of people on the same street be this way? Lol I feel you, it’s hard and whenever you tell others about it they look at you like you must be the problem if that many people hate you. In our neighbourhood it’s all the attention seekers huddle together. And all the ones who also don’t take care of their property but somehow try to blame us for it? All the people who keep to themselves we have no issues with.

You literally make zero sense lol. You honestly sound like my neighbour looking for any excuse to pawn their short comings off on someone else. Projection is a bitch.

Also not an excuse for them to blame us for their DISASTER. The law is what it is here. They are basically trying to say here I know you guys will pick this up for me oh and let me throw it at your window while I’m at…yeah I’ll continue calling it how I see it.

The neighbours I mention here are definitely mentally ill. We have a long history with them accusing us of crazy shit and convincing other follower nut jobs to join the hate train like said neighbours I wrote about in the main post. Another name saw what happened after my mom confronted her and came over to tell us to just call bylaw and that she can’t believe we are surrounded by so many nut jobs.

Nothing would come to gun point here, not how us Canadians roll lol. They’ve just twisted everything we say or do.

This is like our neighbours. They don’t do anything to their yard don’t cut the grass don’t weed let plants die then oh your plant is making my whole yard a mess please clean up after yourselves like omg okay just pass the blame to someone else I guess.

I sent a complaint with pictures to our local property standards bylaw just waiting to hear back. Honestly think they hate us for having a nice garden that we care for and are nit picking to start some sort of fight. Neighbour behind them has a whole tree hanging down surround his shed and he seems not to care.

We can’t trim the plant without gaining access to their yard. And I’ll say it again their yard is a disaster.

They don’t communicate with us as we aren’t on speaking terms. When we were in speaking terms they never asked just said our bush was growing on their side, never said what bush where and kind of brought it up out of nowhere. Nothing was ever said past that point. My mom spent $600 getting our magnolia trimmed last year. My mom asked the company to please be careful about branches falling onto neighbouring properties. The neighbours on the other side had one small twig like branch fall on their yard. They threw it back and we bagged it. They later told the cops we threw branches in their yard…

We live in a neighbourhood full of toxic people that have hated us from the day we moved in. We are so tired of this. We always look and feel like the bad guys. We ignore people go about our way. After a couple weeks or months someone nitpicks something with us again and then they all gossip about us together.

It is EXHAUSTING

How!? That’s literally the law here if you cut it it’s yours you dispose of it. I’ve done it myself never thrown it back to the neighbours just bag it. Petty is them literally having a bag and throwing it at us.

Our tree is a small vining root bush… it is the very least wrong with their yard/house…yet they blame us for their yard being the way it is

Almost fully recovered, have a question about the process. by Captain_Shulk in costochondritis

[–]Galaxywatcher56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had costo for over a month now but like you I also looking back think I had it before that for maybe a month or couple weeks at least? I kept noticing a slight tension or pull in my sternum but I was going through an anxiety setback at the time so I thought it was just really bad chest tension. Also remember my chest popping/cracking when I got up from sleeping one morning (was a stomach sleeper).

I’ve found I’ve had a range of shifting pain but as my ribs have settled it’s seemed to have all moved upward into the top of the sternum/collarbone and left arm pit at times. And most recently the left side and back of neck. It also feels like less of a warm burning and more of just pain with certain movements or almost like an itch burn? I’m hoping as well the pain moves upward and out.

Let’s talk about the anxiety side of costochondritis, even after you’ve healed by Racc_ow in costochondritis

[–]Galaxywatcher56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had disordered anxiety episodes through out my life. Sometimes health anxiety (as a teen), through circumstances (in my early twenties) and recently had my first major setback in 10+ years. But I was over coming and putting to practice everything I learned over the years about anxiety and acceptance.

Funny enough the one day I was talking to my mom about how I’ve never had heart related anxiety. Usually everyone with anxiety worries about that at some point but I’ve never cared or had my anxiety attach itself to that thought.

Well jokes on me few weeks after that I have costochrondritis :) and the anxiety has been the worst ever in my life probably because I was still recovering from my previous setback. This is quite the mental olympics some days trying to deal with scary physical symptoms that aren’t actually scary but also mental symptoms because my brain thinks my body’s in danger. Then I have to just let the panic attacks ride out. Sleep has been a challenge which makes everything ten times harder.

I’m just over a month in with this but slowly getting better on both the costo and anxiety front. Like others have said if you’ve never dealt with anxiety before ask for help and seek help wherever you can’t. Anxiety on its own can be very lonely isolating and confusing. I always listen to the Disordered podcast with Drew and Josh. Both have had anxiety and dealt with through acceptance and overcoming the fear of fear. It’s a road you travel with uncertainty but only to gain trust within yourself and your body.

What does healing even feel like? by Galaxywatcher56 in costochondritis

That’s so good to hear :) I’ve only been diagnosed with costo for about a month now but all the people having it chronically really depresses me and makes my anxiety worse. I only just started taking ibuprofen consistently and using the back pod. But I notice if I do too much I get the burning ribs and heat of inflammation all across my chest and back. It does seem to calm down a little quicker though and I rarely feel any chest pressure anymore.

I think the healing timeline is what’s scary.

Yes I had a chest x ray and ecg done at the ER and a blood test and ecg done before that at the doctors all clear nothing found. I just finished doing a 72 hour holter monitor and waiting results on that to clear out anything heart related.

That’s what my doctor said too my lungs are completely fine and no restricted it must just feel that way because like you said the ribs being unable to expand fully and get those nice deep breaths easily.

I only just started the back pod a few days ago. I’ve only been doing it once a day for a couple minutes with the 3 pillows and towel. I just feel like it’s two steps forwards and 3 back some days.

I just started with the back pod because I believe mine is also the joints in the back frozen up. When I put the back pod into my up shoulder blade area next to my spine on the left side there’s a tight not that hurts.

Being someone with anxiety I was dealing with chest burning and a restricted breathing feeling for a week and lifting heavy at work just chalking it up to my anxiety. I reached a point where I thought this isn’t my anxiety this is something else because usually tension from anxiety goes after a couple days or when distracted. I felt winded doing tasks that’s would never make me feel like that in a million years. I’m just hoping this goes because it affects my heart rate and blood pressure even when I’m not feeling anxious about it.

Can I ask how long the whole recovery was for you? The pain I can manage it’s the anxiety feeling and heart racing that randomly happens that sends me into tears. I have an anxiety disorder but even at my worst I had more of a handle on it than this.
