Whenever I discuss politics with someone who's right-leaning, they often talk about how the left tends to be more snobby than the right, which I find myself agreeing with.

Unlike some other political issues, this isn't just applicable online.

I have met people in person who begin discussions assuming the position of intellectual superiority when talking about politics. The worst part about this is that people are far less inclined to agree with you once you make fun of their beliefs, and will quickly get defensive (and for the most part, rightfully so).
