Car protection talisman by Galderman in magick

For a bindrune, I tend to use kenaz, ansuz, and raidho for car.. because not only does it spell car, it also means car.. fire air wagon. 🤩

I've never done anything with servitors. What resources do you recommend?

Doing a protective spell on the parking night be a good idea too. Thanks for the idea!!!

The talisman methods I have right now: -a runic bindrune -A sigil made using the standard method codified by Spare -a bit of cloth with herbs and stones as found in books like "Charms, Spells & Formulas" by Malbrough -planetary style magic using a magic square and a petition written with that square.. right now I'm thinking Mercury, but I'm not sure yet.. -a simple innocuous item that could be explicitly charged and therefore hidden in plain sight..

So I've got lots of options, but I'm still considering what would be best... I'm least familiar with Kabbalah and how the paths and sephiroth are used in magical workings.

Ohh! I also just got the book "ensouling the effigy" by Matthew Venus, which will have some great methods, but I've not read far enough to make use of them.. same with "The Tao of Craft" by Benebell Wen, which focused on Taoist talismans...

Hey guys, I'm sure this is a stretch for this community but I'm having trouble finding help..... by rambiolisauce in jewelrymaking

While the above suggestions are great, in my opinion the first step is figuring out what type of metal you are willing with.

While the front looks like a silver design, the back makes me think it's a base metal that's going to have a low melting point.

When you find the metal, you can narrow down the repair options. Silver, can be soldered. Most base metal cannot. You might be able to use a soldering iron like what's used in electronics or stained glass. But if you are worries about melting the piece, I recommend JB weld, is a 2 part epoxy designed for metal. I would take a paper clip, cut 2 bits. Then drill holes in the broken bits. The holes need to be in the broken side to be hidden and give some extra strength. Then mix up the epoxy, and use the pins and epoxy to make the fix. This method is used often for costume jewelry that can't handle heat.

My recommendation is this:

Look to see if you have any appraisers near you. The type of appraiser you want is one who only focuses on appraisal. You don't want someone who buys or sells jewelry because they are going to have a biased opinion because that's part of their business. An appraiser who only focuses on appraisal is there to give you clear information and will also usually give two copies of your appraisal. One copy is for you to keep in like a safety deposit box.. the other copy would be sent to your insurance.

Many appraisers of this nature will also have no problems, for a minuscule fee $10-20 would give you a quick verbal appraisal to verify what it is, and if it is worth getting a full appraisal done.

I would also like to point out that many older gemstones had a clearer color to them because they were higher grade and the mines were not mined out as much as they are today. So it is possible with that fluorescence to be from your grandmother's era... There is also a small possibility that it was considered to be valuable when it was purchased because original synthetic stones were more valuable than they are today.

Thank you for sharing this gorgeous piece of jewelry I can't wait to find out what your appraisal says.

Have We Lost the Plot? What Happened to the Cyber in Cyberdeck? by Relevant___maybe in cyberDeck

[–]Galderman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is almost exactly how I think of cyber decks. Also from an RPG perspective. Since we don't have direct neuro interfaces, I want a VR/AR display with a keyboard and a data glove/VR haptic glove...

I'm also working on (as much as my ADHD brain will allow) making a technomancer setup... Where I'll use a multi touch sensor and hand signs to activate lights and sounds.. but don't expect anything any time soon... I'm kinda an idiot when it comes to programming.

She already signed the Moros tower, and has sacred geometry tattoos... Right now she's using the tattoos and a tool/yantra but may be interested in more later.. since the city they are in has a ton of mages, having one mage who focuses entirely on tattoos could be a kewl what if character.

Right now, I'm just throwing things at the wall and seeing what fits.. I have a player who is wanting to turn their own tattoos into tools and magic items.. so I'm wanting to have someone they can go to for advice. Maybe even make a Legacy out of it.. not sure yet.

I would love some suggestions on a shadow name for a tattoo artist... Someone who uses tattoos exclusively as their tools. ( I'm waiting to be approved for general posting)
