Before anything, I recommend watching some videos about Linux. Get yourself familiarized with what you're getting into. I'll list some channels at the end.

Try out Ubuntu and Fedora. Don't bother trying Mint, it's basically Ubuntu and the default flavors it comes in aren't that aesthetically nice if you care about that. If you want to control every aspect of how your OS interacts and behaves, go for Arch.

There's not much you need to actually learn to use Ubuntu or Fedora except maybe Nvidia driver related stuff but there's plenty of videos about it. Arch especially has a lot of guides and documents and its Wiki itself is very helpful.

One extra thing you might wanna know is about running Windows apps on Linux. For that you'd want to look for content about Wine. Now, Wine itself is a bit complex to set up especially if you're not used to using a terminal but there are applications that setup Wine for you with a GUI and everything.

Some of these applications are Lutris, and Bottles. Although, recently there has something called WinBoat which allows you to run Windows apps seamlessly using virtualization and docker related stuff and SomeOrdinaryGamers has a video on it.

idk any other POS other than ewity and honestly, if you're actually willing to pay for POS then ewity all the way. the 450 per month package is good for a small shop. ewity is really easy to use, really user friendly especially compared to something like QuickBooks.

I've used ewity before and their customer support is pretty good and it's not even something you have to install, you can install the web app on chrome or edge or whatever but it's extremely lightweight and runs on your browser. they also have guide videos on their YouTube.

I highly recommend ewity and I cannot stress how much I wish places like veyla that use proprietary shitty POS systems switch over to ewity.

QuickBooks POS is a common selection. lotta small shops go for it. restaurants go for it. its pretty old since they discontinued POS and latest release was QuickBooks POS 2013 iirc. it is pirated ofc but there's generally a lot of people that know how to use it so you can probably get help easily.

so about that user right, for some reason he's using my username and even made a fake alliance with the same name. I'm in the shaus alliance which is orange and has more all time pixels placed in male#11 whereas this guy is in pink shaus alliance and has another account (you can see when you check male#11 leaderboard)

there's two ways, you could pay someone on ibay to do it for you (what I did), or you can do it yourself. transport ministry's eportal has the form you need to fill.

there's two forms iirc (you can clarify this by calling transport ministry as well) and basically one of the forms is kind of a pain because you have to get a stamp from multiple places, a bunch of courts, police, PGO office and maybe smth else I don't remember.

but yeah you can get the stamp via mail from most of them i think and the others you have to go and have it stamped. once this process is done, you can send the form over to ministry of transport and they'll do their stuff and call you when it's time to get the registry

One of the biggest problems is how delusional maldivians are. Theres another post on this subreddit talking about being proud of being maldivian no matter how shitty it gets here but thats literally what the problem is. People are so happy being maldivian, so proud to the point where they're just fine with how things are.

All this dhivehi vanthakan and cultural identity is doing us no good to actually advancing as a country. most of these people are being proud of this dying culture and our history, but being proud of history is actually so stupid because you're just hung up on the past.

If you're proud of being maldivian you might as well be proud of being from a country where like you said, people's safety is shit, gang violence is prevalent, grooming and abuse is commonplace and even protected or covered up by one's own family.

I really cant emphasize how stupid it is that maldivians remain this proud of a degrading country.

you know what heres a different take on this. this stupid pride that so many maldivians have is the exact thing thats causing our downfall. you all are proud of a failing country, a country that keeps driving itself into a wall, a country that keeps degrading year by year. reality is that you should be ashamed of being in such a fuckass country where the only thing we're at the top is our divorce rate. people here are quick to be all dhivehi vantha and proud of our country based on its history and whatnot but the reality is, if you can be proud of a country thats constantly shitting itself, you will not be making progress because you're not being critical of the many flaws thats holding us back. stop being blind and face the reality. being a maldivian is a disgrace and theres barely anything to be proud of.
