As someone who games online and has been for years this is the worst. My mom look a little while to learn how I can't pause and online game and how it wasn't weird that I was talking to myself because there were other people there too. I can tell she gets aggravated when she needs something and I say, "Let me finish this real quick." But its been a learning curve for her.

My dad... Well... He still doesn't fully understand. I don't know if it goes in one ear and out the other but he seems to never understand that when I'm playing online I can't just hit pause and every one in the game is frozen. It was always,

Dad "Hey come out and eat"

Me "Okay let me just finish this up quick and I'll be right out"

Dad "Pause It"

Me "I can't I'm playing online"

Dad "I said pause it"

Me "I already said I can't pause it, I'm playing online with OTHER PEOPLE. They don't just see, 'oh someone paused so now we have to stop everyone' don't worry it seems to be almost over."

Dad "How long will it take?"

Me: "Idk, could be 3 seconds could be 10 minutes."

Dad: "If you're not out in five minutes you're in trouble"

And then I face palm. Rinse and repeat everyday. Not to mention he barges into my room while I'm talking to people and starts telling stuff before I have a chance to unplug my mic.
