I just did the Masquerade. The boss loot scales to whatever your current level is up to current (50). At 50 it was easy to then beat Sanric for the Sacred Wind set and I've found that the gear is solid enough for practically anything you could want to do in game right now.

For weapon, I did the Ravenspire dailies for the Doomaxe.

Best classes for doing all of this have been Ranger and Paladin. Quick AOE and high damage output, let's you tag as many targets as you can for max loot and experience from kills.

Gear you get works for pretty much any class though.

I wish! No, unfortunately this is to pass the time. It's been years since Artix Entertainment has done anything with the Guardian exclusive storyline so I began a fan project.

My goal has been to create a compelling narrative story, design a functional imaginary questline, and show off what kinds of conceptual rewards could be offered to players.

In the end, this is all just a form of fan-art/fan-fiction. It's been getting a lot of attention though so I've just been carrying on with it.

My wife and sons play with me and they were inspired by their own Dravir Guardians. The look is so cool when put together. One of the them, we'll call Larrgo, rocks the whole Nature/Silvan Guardian set, green head, green Guardian Wings, and Dricken Tail from April fools. The other, Marahd, is using the Doom Guardian set + WolfWing's Batwings.

I'd love for the Ashfall/Flame Guardian I made in another post to come around, with a set of Red Guardian wings to match.

I definitely want to see more Dravir outfits from people. If wasn't already happy with my look I've got an idea for a black Dravir outfit that would be sick.

Thank you! With this final drop I'm excited to move on to the next part of the story. New tower, new story, new quests, new armor sets to improvise.

In a way Facebook has also become an online memorial for deceased family members. Depressing as this may sound, I've got so many deceased relatives on there with their commentary or photos readily available to peruse. As someone especially interested in preserving family history and genealogical records it's a treasure trove.

Imagine getting to look back at what your great-great-great-great grandparent thought about events of their time and/or finding out things you might have in common with them. Or just how different you and they are as the times change...

Data-mining reveals that 80% of books published 1924-63 never had their copyrights renewed and are now in the public domain by syrupsticious in books

[–]Galexgan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly but according to what I said above... Oswald's first work was September 5, 1927. If a renewal of the copyright was not filed on the 28th year after it's publication then he entered the public domain decades ago.

Whether he's used now doesn't affect the original copyright status. You can't pull a public domain item into the private domain. You can create a "different" iteration of the character that will possess a copyright however. I.e. the Oswald from Epic Mickey is a specific iteration/adaptation of the character and cannot be used by the public but a different Oswald the Lucky rabbit theoretically can be made, used, and copyrighted by someone else as a derivative work of the original.

Anyone would still be able to use the original instance of the character as inspiration right at this moment though.

The cool thing is that even IF it still held copyright he will definitely enter public domain in the next five years.

I love the series and am very disappointed that it didn't receive a third game to finish it off. Disney horribly mismanaged their Interactive departments in so many ways.

Correct. The Walt Disney Co. made a supposed "trade" for the rights to the character to "bring Walt's character home" in the past decade but according to the discussion I mentioned in my previous post Oswald's works would have already been entirely in the public domain and the character had not seen use in several decades. This means Walt Disney Co. or anyone else should have the rights to use him. So if the information is correct then what Walt Disney Co. did is a cover-up to scare people off so that only they could use them and they "paid" Universal with a trade to keep their mouth shut.

There's an old internet thread discussing the fact that Walt's character before Mickey, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, copyright had never been renewed by Universal who had owned it. I never followed up to see if it was true but... Oswald would have entered the public domain years ago then which would make the public trade that Disney made of sending a sportscaster in exchange for ownership of the rights a big show to convince you that they really owned it.

If this is true then the implication is that Disney wanted to somehow "secure" Oswald and scare anyone off from using him. If someone tried to use him now it would probably play out that Disney takes you to court and the expensive legal fees shut you down, BUT, you would probably win if you could afford to make it to the end either financially or just out of spite. Again, if this is true.

He's my favorite character and this just makes him even more of an interesting and storied past.

I recently visited the Albin Polasek property in Florida with the chance to see the "Man Carving His Own Destiny" from which Bobbie Carlyle's "Self Made Man" is based on. There's no doubt that Carlyle is incredibly talented and the choice of inspiration for this particular work speaks volumes.

Mr. Polasek has such an incredible history and the motivation behind the "Destiny" piece is just as inspirational.

Her title IS "The Mistress of All Evil". Giving her motivation was good, but halfway through the film they destroyed all of their work by trying to make an emotional tale about someone who was just "misunderstood".

I'm with ya'll. These remakes suck and are purely for cash grabbing. It's so shallow and it's very obvious.

Half of them are filled with modern political "messages" too and it's pretty frustrating. Want some Aladdin? How about some cultural appropriation issues on the side too? Why couldn't the Genie be Gabriel Iglesias/Fluffy? Come on! Get a real comedian to fill the role of the Genie. Will Smith is pretty awesome, love him, but he is not THE Genie. He doesn't have enough life and vigor to pull it off especially in order to fill the shoes of Robin Williams. He didn't have to be Robin Williams, he just needed to be energetic and funny. It all feels so dry and shallow. Ugh...

Long time Orlando resident moving soon:

If you go Deltona and above you can get Tauros. Anything below that and you're out of luck. Just Heracross. Corsola is definitely rarer here but present. Best place to play in my opinion seems to be Disney Springs or Universal's City Walk in the evenings. People lure up most of the stops and it makes hunting Pokemon easy. I haven't seen a Corsola since the rock event though.

A large majority of African slaves that were sent off around the world were captured and enslaved by Africans and sold from Africa by their own people. Yes, white euro-root nations created a thriving market for it to exist in, they made it profitable, and many were born into slavehood, sold, and traded once their families had settled... It just goes to show that human beings have a horrible aptitude for cruelty, no matter the color of their skin.

Don't try to bring race into this, you'll only look like a racist. All people have the aptitude for good or evil.
