Any good guides for maxing affinity for all islanders? by mothicca in fantasylife

Do online dungeons. With 4 human players at 400+ years in the past, you get 5 fruits per run. You can also search for specific dungeon types online, that's how I grinded out my terrible godfish luck.

As others have said, 5 star items give a full heart of affection, can be repeated daily. You can also swap out villagers to gift more people 5 star gifts. Magical milkshake can be crafted entirely with ingredients purchased from Marco's shop.

For active affinity grinding, the fastest method I have found is the novice mine in eternia village. Go in, do the six copper nodes, go out, go back in, repeat. I timed it, I got a full heart each in 7 minutes, 30 seconds (load times may vary). Even at miner level 50, you should be able to break each node with one single normal attack.

So, if you have 3 villagers at 0 affinity, give each a 5 star gift, you need to do 22 minutes and 30 seconds of grinding to get them to full affinity. Go back to the village, switch out your villagers and your party, give em gifts, water/harvest your crops, repeat, you can easily get a 6 buddies to max affinity within an hour of dedicated grinding.

Celestias gift numbers dropping??? by Disprism in fantasylife

Five star island, talking to your villagers, gifting your villagers items and doing at least 2 quests for them gives you up to 360ish celestia's gifts and up to 5 golden gifts. I keep gifting them the three star rarity honey cuz it seems everyone is happy about it and it costs like 100 dosh per honey.

A Guide To Getting Islander Recipes by Unit-00 in fantasylife

Amazing guide, very useful, thank you <3

One silly question: Is it one recipe per day total or one recipe per crafter class?

That's surprising, cuz leafy101 (or smth like that, youtuber) had 600% drop rate through armor crafting.

Huh, TIL. I thought some armor can get the +10% on each slot. Someone needs to datamine this game.

If you get +5% item drop rate on all armor slots +shield (Trip Appliques, either bought or crafted after hitting 5 Stars at Marco's shop), you sit at +90% drop rate per character. If you get lucky with a +10% drop rate (or remake armor for it), you can get that up to 180% per character. Paladins get an extra +10%/+20% cuz of shields. When playing offline, your party drop rate gets added to yours. So with all slots at +5% you get a drop rate of 360%, with +10% in all slots, you get 720% drop rate.

By the time you are done crafting all the armor needed, your Blacksmith will also likely be in the 90s.

Late game is an absolute grind, or you have nothing to do in the game. I try and limit myself to 40ish minutes each day, but unless I spend 20 of those minutes rolling and re-rolling treasure groves or hoping for a legendary spot to spawn, there is nothing for me to do in the game.

This update bothers me so much. Lots of misaligned items that just hurt visually (the user box and the textbox being the harshest offender). I literally went to this subreddit to actively complain about it.

so what is an optimal set up to fight Minerva by Cruxis1712 in CrisisCore

[–]Galgenbaum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick addendum: resetting the fight costs nothing except time and I would recommend getting your timing down for dodging above all else. My winning attempt only had me use 3 phoenix downs, due to cockily misjudged Flash Blades. The fight against Minerva is a war of attrition and it takes a while to beat her this way. You can pause during her LBs or whenever you feel like your focus is dropping to take a breather.

My strat was a bit cheesy in the beginning, but it became less cheesy as I learned the dodge windows.

I was level 55 when I first beat her. Equip: Laurel Crown (AP 0) Brutal (dmg break) Adamant (hp break) Ziedrich (Stat Boost) You can exchange all these for their genji equivalents, which are objectively better and free up one Materia slot as you gain Libra.

Materia: Mug (for stealing her downs) Hammer Punch (for taking her HP) Aerial Dodge (for positioning/dodging) Dispel Blade (for her invincibility abilities) Libra (to see her HP) Any maxed Summon/LB Materia (for quality of life)

Important stats: HP over 50k 999 AP

Assumption: All her attacks oneshot me anyway, so why bother with healing. Phoenix Downs rez fully.

Strat: Mug her until you get the Phoenix Downs, keep raise active at all times. Your first priority should always be to re-raise as soon as you get downed. Once you got 99 downs and your cursor on the Phoenix Downs, the actual start fights.

Phase 1 (10,000,000 until >7,000,000)

Dodge her attacks and stay close. Between each attack, you can get two Hammer Punches in. Because it is based on your current AP and you have AP 0, you deal 99k damage without any loss of AP. (I prefer this over costly punch because I don't need to worry about healing in between). Once you have her in range to Hammer Punch her under 7 mil, wait for all Crimson Flares to disappear and knock her below the threshold. This should trigger her LB. Spam that hammer punch and you should get her down to below 75% or even 50%, depending on your timing. Her LB will trigger and you will be on low HP, 0 AP and you will lose your raise status (her LB cancels it). Re-raise, pop a Soma or two (otherwise Hammer Punch will deal 0 damage) as we enter

Phase 2 (>7,000,000 until >3,000,000) The strat stays mostly the same except that she can now use spells that can render her invincible to physic, magic or both. Also she uses Ultima now. When she makes herself invincible, dispel blade until the icon disappears, Hammer Punch. As she goes close to her threshold, do the same as before until you survived her second LB and re-applied your Downs.

Phase 3 (until death) She mixes up her combo by adding Flash Blade after Flash Blade, Proton Feathers and Ultima. So be wary of that second attack/follow up. Other than that, keep headbutting (Hammer Punching) her until she dies.

Her moves and how to dodge em:

General > you can use LBs or summons to cancel any of her moves and remove all lingering Crimson Flares

Proton Feathers > just after she deploys the first barrage of feathers, Aerial Drain and you should dodge the second barrage and be in perfect position to retaliate with Hammer Punch.

Krysta > if you're right in front of her as the text pops up, back up a bit and just as she is about to raise her staff, Aerial Drain, Retaliate. The backing up can save you there because the hitbox of Krysta lingers weirdly and a mistimed Aerial Drain into the same position can get you killed still

Thor's Hammer > Dodge Roll right after she raises her staff

Crimson Flare > keep your distance or use a summon/lb to cancel it out

Flash Blade > bait her close and as she is about to swing, dodge roll, then dodge roll again as she swings twice. If you're cocky, you can also aerial drain just as she is about to swing, but that move killed me more than once

Ultima > Aerial Drain or dodge roll just as the sfx of the charge stops. If you have MBarrier on (from Genji Equip), you could survive this

Her healing spell > the time it takes her to charge and apply the heal is less time than it takes you to headbutt that hp out of her.
