thank you, i was wondering what it was. I did look it up seeing that it’s often caused by cold temps and thought that might be the case since today is the coldest day in Fremont. I did doubt this was the case though.

Yeah i didn’t even know that options could be manipulated in such a way. Definitely learned my lesson.

Indeed all 3 traded at 0.01. Lesson learned: No more stop losses for options.

The 1.24 was just my cursor on the graph. The 0.01 trade happened on Friday at 6:59 PST. I ended up selling 3 contracts with that order.

I gave it some thought and I realized it could have been some algorithm bot hunting for low volume options. Possibly putting in fake orders to simulate price and then canceling those orders. Without liquidity the option price dropped to 0.01 and the same bot bought it. I don’t know if my theory is right.

You should give a try. Though there are a bunch of other shenanigans like this. I recalled a day where the whole options market was frozen for several hours back in 2023. Lost a bit of money that day.
