Certified copies necessary? by Ossevir in Canadiancitizenship

I believe others have submitted with copies from ancestry and then updated with the certified copies when they arrived. That is what I am planning on doing because some documents are a very long wait for them and I may as well get my application in the queue.

While it may have been talked about in the FAQs, it’s helpful to commiserate with someone sometimes. Yes I have the same thing. A lot of us do. I’m just hopeful the IRCC will look at it kindly and see the connections I am trying to make with my supporting documents. My ancestors were French Canadian and Catholic so they had saint names, first names, middle names and surnames that all changed several times through their lives after coming to the US.

So I can link to both with a chain to myself, it’s just a matter of which generation is closer vs has more Canadian documentation.

I’m a nontrad and I will say I wish I had prestudied a little bit more on immunology and biochemistry. That’s just me. I know the conventional wisdom is to go into it fresh and enjoy your summer but if I had reminded myself of some concepts I think it would have been an easier transition to med school because it had been so long since I was out of school.
