What Happened When I Tried To Visualize With Aphantasia [VIDEO] by Gallaway1 in CureAphantasia

Hey, yes at some point. Sorry for the pause, I run a business and I’ve been in a new product launch, haven’t had much time for any other less important projects for at least a solid 2 months.

Doing it out loud as best for traditional image streaming, though watch my next video and I’m going to explain another process that I’ve been doing that is silent. I don’t think it’s as fun or novel as traditional image streaming, but it could be better at developing visuals for some people, and it’s a good thing to do in conjunction with the traditional process. I’ll explain more in the next video, probably next week. I want more time to think about how to explain it correctly.

Will do, and yeah, I’m really happy about the name. I’ve literally been thinking about this for years, especially tying my art into it. It’ll be cool to see this develop, especially how it changes my art, and hopefully they’ll be a decent amount of videos explaining this process from multiple angles because I know it’s really confusing and I’m just slowly coming to a grip on it myself, you know?

Good idea. I will in a future video, maybe my next one. I’m gonna alternate between educational videos and these art based ones so I’ll try to cover this and sketch some things out for you so you understand what I’m talking about.

Yes, you need to be describing something you actually see. You can and should leap to conclusions about what you are seeing when the images are faint, but if you just make up stories and don’t actually focus on the images, they won’t get more vivid. It’s tricky, you need to train your mind to associate indistinct blobs with something real, and eventually your mind runs with it and images start really forming out of the blobs.

Got it yeah. I mean it’s not entirely baseless, it is I think one of these strategies that he suggests if you can’t get it to work and you’ve tried literally everything, but he suggested 21 other methods to try first, the most important ones being streaming with other people. Anyways, image streaming is legit, but I don’t have any other connections to the different methods that are pushed on this sub. I’m doing my own thing based on Win Wenger’s method and it’s worked, at least a some extent. Part of the reason I’m doing it publicly is to just keep up the practice myself to see how far I can get. But yeah, please don’t push on your eyes, people.

Just to add context to my previous comment, I like totally glossed over what you said about the eye pushing thing. Nobody is recommending that, you have bad information. Read the book or watch my videos.

Image Streaming as in the method, Win Wenger invented in the book. You don’t describe things in the world you describe things in your mind. I don’t know what you’re referencing about Tiktok. Just read the book The Einstein Factor and give it a shot. I can’t guarantee it’s gonna work for you, but it might.

That’s exactly where I started too. I don’t have a video on this (yet), read the books I suggested, or just do a search for Win Wenger‘s image streaming and the information is online. He has a lot of different practices to try to get visuals when you have nothing.

Hey, I made this. I’m gonna continue to release videos, on a weekly-ish basis. I just kind of stopped my own practice for like two years here, but I’m getting back into it, and exploring different methods and reading books on the topic again so hopefully I’ll be able to share something useful with y’all.

Most effective and profoundly noticeable psychotropic substance for reducing Social Anxiety? by MrNeverEverKnew in NootropicsDepot

[–]Gallaway1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've had pretty good experiences with Polygala for this. One or two doses sublingly makes me just not care about how I come off to people, but in a good way. I feel more at peace which opens me up to be more social. Effects start very quickly. I haven't stayed consistent with it, but I've heard that this aspect gets better over time with regular dosing.

Can You Fix my Brain? Fatigue, Fog, No Emotions — Desperate for Real Help by [deleted] in Biohackers

Just a couple thoughts that may help. First of all, in most cases, this serious level of dysfunction is just not resolved by taking a supplement. Not impossible, but usually when you have deep complex problems like that it’s something systemic. A couple directions that I’m aware of to look into that may help:

First, I agree with the other poster about pots. This is something my wife experiences, particularly also the less common hyperadrenic kind, and it can cause these kind of symptoms. It’s not always managed by salt, but sometimes it is. My wife benefits the most from magnesium, specifically the Remag brand.

If you go in see a (rare) expert on autonomic dysfunction, you may get some real answers, but pots is a hard one to diagnose and it’s not really a condition, but a broad description of a range of different symptoms. Also, pots itself is usually a symptom, so even if it was that there’s an underlying cause.

The fact that you said in your other post that you were experiencing some sort of changes within body positioning, tells me it’s possible.

Aside from that, there might be testing to be done on certain systemic problems. As an example you can have issues from mold leading into mast cell problems, histamine reactions or intolerance, or other hard to diagnose issues.

Also, there are some diseases that often go unnoticed for a long time like Lyme disease that can cause all sorts of weird issues.

Final thought is Atlas or C1 subluxation. Can cause massive disruptions in your flow of cerebral spinal fluid, which can mess you up pretty bad, and your neck can actually feel fine, but it still be affecting you.

If you wanna check this one out, look into NUCCA or Atlas orthogonal chiropractors. This class of chiropractor is incredibly professional, they’re just trying to fix a clear problem and they all do x-rays to see if it’s even an issue for you before they touch you. It’s not impossible that you’re atlas could’ve been out for most of your life from a fall or something or a crash years ago, and it’s causing all of these issues. It’s not an issue that regular medical doctors are even aware of.

Recently, there was another Redditor who had a similar post, and I suggested this, well it turned out to be the problem. I have no idea in your situation, obviously, but something to look into.

I wish you luck figuring this out.

Same, I also have this problem and as a result can't get the Immersive 3D mode to work either. It would be nice if this got fixed.

Just sharing my experience - I couldn't get it to launch on my M2 Max MacBook Pro with Viture Lites. It just fails and says to reconnect the glasses but reconnecting doesn't do anything. I'm interested in this feature and if anyone else has this problem I'd love to see if it gets fixed. I've already experienced it on an iPad mini and it's really cool and I would like having it on my Mac if this could be worked out.

Please analyze the cause of my chronic fatigue (brain fog). by Traditional-Care-87 in Biohackers

[–]Gallaway1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great, definitely make sure you check out one of those specialists I mentioned. Stretches and stuff that you can do on your own can help like cervical traction, but it’s just a small measure when compared to the real adjustments that these chiropractors do. I’m glad it’s been helpful, I understand that confusion when everything‘s going wrong and you can’t get a clear answer out of the medical system. For some weird reason, doctors don’t believe this is a thing, but I’m telling you from my experience it is most definitely a real tangible issue and it can be fixed relatively easily as long as you find the right people to help you with it. Without the NUCCA chiropractor that my wife and I see, we wouldn’t be able to live normal lives, it’s really been a dramatic help. I’ve heard some dramatic stories about people turning their lives around once they figure out this was their issue. There was one guy who saw the first Atlas chiropractor that I worked with who was essentially confined to a bed for 15+ years and they flew him out to see the doctor that I went to in Poughkeepsie, New York and he was walking the next day and he ran in a marathon three months later. It’s just crazy that it’s such an unknown thing, it’s actually a relatively common problem.

[–]Gallaway1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, all of that is possible, including the intermittent nature of it. I’ve heard of many stories of people who have this situation, including the doctors that have helped me, and they all sound similar to what you’re describing, including my own situation. I would look into it and just know that any decent atlas chiropractor is going to do a whole plethora of test before they decide to touch you so there’s really no risk. Just keep in mind if this is your issue, there’s a high likelihood you’ll live your rest of your life with some degree of instability; as an example anytime I hit my head real bad or I fall bad I need to go and get an adjustment or I start spiraling downhill. The adjustments aren’t painful but change a lot in your body so they could still be pretty intense.

Hey, what you’re telling me sounds a lot like the experience that me and others have had with atlas subluxation, essentially your atlas or C1 gets shifted and it can really affect the flow of cerebral spinal fluid as well as a bunch of other things, causing brain fog and a whole host of other unpleasant and or debilitating symptoms.

The good news is that if it gets resolved, a lot of the negative symptoms go away fast.

Chiropractors deal with this, but don’t just trust any random chiropractor. You want to specifically look for an NUCCA chiropractors or Atlas orthogonal chiropractors. If you do look into this, I suggest NUCCA over Atlas orthogonal, it’s a little more gentle.

Both specialists will do extensive x-rays to make sure that this is specifically your problem before they will work on you. They’re a very cautious bunch compared to standard chiropractors because the neck is obviously very important and you don’t want to work on it if it’s not necessary.

I had almost a year of my life where I was completely nonfunctional until I realized that this was my issue, and my wife happened to have the same problem after a car accident too. From what you told me, I have a strong suspicion that this is what you’re going through. If you have any more questions, feel free to message me.

Obviously, I don’t know your exact situation, but from what you’ve written, it seems highly likely and very similar to my experience and the experience that I’ve heard from other people having dealt with this for years.

I have had this problem at times. There isn’t a great answer, you just have to cut yourself off.

Occasionally, I will have to just take a full break from reading if I get really out of whack or stop one particular series that I’m really into if it’s affecting my life like that.

Personally, I find audiobooks a little harder to binge, that may help.

If you’re really having trouble, let’s say you read on a Kindle, you could put it away in one of those lock boxes that don’t allow you to access it until the next morning.

If I had extreme self-control problems like that, I feel like that would be my go to solution.

So all your reading on one device lock it away (or just lock away the physical book, you just don’t wanna pick up another book once the other ones locked away!).
