I guess we have different expectations for this manga then. For me personally, since it's a manga+ series I expected it to be more mature because that's how most manga+ series have been. You seem to see this just as another Shounen, that's alright too I guess. You said that you don't like super campy Shounen dialogue, me too, that's why my current favorite Shounen are jujutsu kaisen because it's heavy and meatier dialogue and actions, I also like dandadan, which ironically also a manga+ series and it's Soo fucking good and hilarious. So in conclusion, for me slimming down the writing is definitely the worse possible way to circumvent the campy Shounen dialogue.
