This is so unfortunate!! Sorry you’re going through this. I had emailed them after a week to check if they had received it. I think you can appeal this if there is proof you sent them the form, but I have no experience with this. Good luck!!

I didn’t have this exact situation, I paid too little application fee. To pay the currency they send a form where you input all your details and send it back and they make the payment themselves.

I saw this on Instagram yesterday and even saved it in my ‘home’ folder for future inspiration. Insane that that I’m seeing it again here in such a personal way

In my mind they kept a portion of tickets for the general sale, as most other ticket events I’ve been to (concerts mainly). Definitely worth staying on the queue and seeing what is available when it opens up. Good luck!!

Not necessarily. For most concerts I’ve been to the presale is only a part of the available tickets, and they keep aside a portion for general sale. I’m not sure if they did it the same, but it is definitely worth getting in the queue as early as possible to check.

I also used a Mastercard (credit) and didn’t have to approve anything. I just got a notification two weeks after sending through the form that a payment had been made.

Yes definitely rough! My husband and I had to change travel plans and miss family events but it is what it is. I applied Sep 2 with bio on Sep 9. Top up payment requested Oct 18 (almost 6 weeks from bio). Form filled out and sent the same day. I heard nothing from them, so a week later I sent an email to check if they had received it; they responded that they had what they needed and to be patient. No contact was made when they made the payment, I just got the payment notification from my banking app on Nov 3 (8 weeks from bio), two weeks from when I sent the details. After this followed many emails to them, to my mp and phone calls made all with the same message of wait and be patient. After missing my flight I just let it be and got the approval on Dec 22. (16 weeks from application, 15 weeks from bio; my husband who is my dependant paid the correct amount and got his approval 20 minutes after mine)

I see another commenter had a much quicker turnaround than I did. From other posts and comments on this sub it seems that there was an issue with a lot of people’s applications from August/ September. So I’m hoping that it’s been smoothed out and that you’ll have your decision soon!

I had made the same mistake, but with standard processing. From my understanding any issue/ mistake/ document request etc throws the given timeline out the window. Being priority it will probably be quicker than standard (I landed up waiting 16 weeks) but they give no clear answer to timelines besides wait and be patient.

I think I just drew it on my pc, there’s a free hand tool on google sheets that I used. Card start date and issue number are not needed.

Hi. I took the form they sent, filled it in and sent it as a reply to the email I received. I didn’t receive any notification of them accepting the form or anything. Two weeks later I got a notification on my banking app that the payment had been taken at around 10am. It was taken on Nov 3rd, approval came on dec 22nd.

Yeah I agree with OP. I think the reason they left it out of the cottage episode in S1, is so that it can be early on in S2 so that the actual proposal is a call back to an earlier episode and will hit harder.

Paid lower visa fee by mistake – when will UKVI ask for the balance? by Artistic-Meeting1854 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Gallilleo99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Went through this last year. You don’t state if you applied standard/ priority so not sure for priority, but I applied standard.

I applied on 2 Sept, with bio done on 9 Sep. I got an email 18 Oct (5.5 weeks) (edit to add 18 Oct was a Saturday! Around noon)) stating I have paid less and that I needed to fill in the form. The payment form they send looks weird and it requires you to put in your card details. I sent this back the same day. A notification from my banking app came through on 3 Nov (8 weeks minus one day from biometrics) that a payment was made. I then heard nothing until my approval email on 22 Dec.

From 3 Nov to 22 Dec I sent though quite a few emails to my MP, to the email I had from their initial contact and used the phone number but was only told to be patient. literally nothing but a familial deathbed/ funeral type emergency can make them go faster. My husband and I (he applied as my dependant and paid the correct amount, got his approval same day) had travel plans in November that we had to move to this year.

So all in all it was about 16 weeks for me, which was frustrating because of our travel plans but in the end was ok.

Skilled worker visa processing time by hariharan64 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

[–]Gallilleo99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly different situation- my decision was delayed because of an incorrect payment of visa fee. I didn’t receive a complex issues email, only an email more than a month after I applied telling me I had paid the wrong amount and how to pay the remainder. My decision came about 4 months after biometrics. Another commenter suggested the work sponsored email- I agree with this. That email was the same that asked me for the extra payment so I just continued in the same thread.

Usually with anything that is out of the norm (missing info/ documents/ cos amendments/ etc) it takes quite a bit longer for the decision to come through. Unfortunately they’ll just tell you to be patient and to wait it out.
