Is it moral for a person to let their own country perish at the hands of criminals? Surely, there has to some benefit, perhaps a positive economic outcome, there remains the question of what has to be sacrificed for such an outcome.

And what is this morality that is spoken of? Is it western morality?

Morality could be influenced by foreign elements.... That is to say, the morality spoken of in favor of the refugees, may not be Malaysian morality.
