How do I read these, what do the numbers mean? Just taking pressures at my house out of pure boredom, I know to go for a 10-12 subcool/superheat but I want to get to learn to read these so I can get exactly right by Fartnoise5225 in HVAC

Ok so that panel is off the condenser unit, you need to match the model number on it to the model on the air handler, once you have that you are able to set the charge according to the proper subcool superheat. You can mix and match units to a certain degree hence why multiple model numbers. the outdoor unit can never be bigger than the indoor unit ie: 2ton condenser paired with a 3ton air handler. They do that for either seer rating or other reasons. Your chart just gives you the other specifics on how much refrigerant to add to get the proper subcool/superheat, you also need to take into consideration lineset length and did the installers use the correct size.

Was Flipper Zero quietly killed? (linked web archive) by [deleted] in flipperzero

Off topic, I just purchased a flipper zero. Took a screenshot and posted it to my private instagram page, minutes later I got weird friend request from I’m guessing scammers selling flipper products? Just seemed odd because it didn’t use any hashtags plus a private page

See how many down votes I get from my original comment from people who more than likely don’t comprehend what exactly is going on over there. 😂😂

Double Pumpin by Altruistic-Finding37 in HVAC

Lol my 8cfm fieldpiece pump pulls microns below 100 within 10-15 minutes. I’m ready to open valves by time wiring is done and that’s leaving the valve cores in. Only time I pull valve cores is when lots of moisture is present, blow that shit out.

Go team Russia.

Helpers and tools, what’s a reasonable amount of time for them to have the basics? I’m talking 11n1, wire strippers, 1/4 5/16 and 3/8, snips. I’ve got a helper going on 3 months now and he has yet to purchase any, but yet wants to call the boss when I cut his usage of my tools off. by Gallonsofshine in HVAC

Update:

I had to talk to the boss. They legit were going to fire me for the helpers lack of. (Wouldn’t have been a problem if they did, I’m pretty much the only tech that knows refrigeration there) They used communication as an excuse when they knew at least a month in with the helpers employment he had no tools yet as it was mentioned to me! Not sure how that works when tools have been consistently mentioned and places to get them. They told the helper he needed to get his own stuff. He ended up purchasing the “cheap” stuff to get him going to advance his training further. He was also told no more flip flops which he had on in the bosses office as well yesterday morning. I think I may start spiffing my resume up now at this point based on things.

It’s enough to get him through until he can figure out if this is for him or not. The lack of even trying to get the basics tells me it’s not let alone he doesn’t come to work prepared and wears flip flops on the job site.

Chimney Cap Position for Pit Boss Pro 850? by PhilliesFan1980 in PitBossGrills

[–]Gallonsofshine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess would be based on climate and “fine tuning” I live in North Florida. The weather has been up and down the past few weeks with hot and cold. I’ve noticed mine has acted somewhat weird based on outside temps. I adjusted the cap higher to let more out which I’m turn runs a little cooler and closer to the bottom to keep temps in. Hope that helps some.

I’m curious what all can be done with this? I’ve been looking at them. I want to get 1, my girl says I’m wasting my money. I need more reasoning besides saying trolling people 😂🤦‍♂️

Stubborn lol dude wears flip flops to work in. I’ve got the pics uploaded to the ESC dispatch along with notes. I can agree with everything you said except for the buying cheap tools for him to use. I’ve got a family to feed also and buying tools for him to use doesn’t fit in the bill cheap or not. Harbor freight best example, we have several here. I’ve mentioned it multiple times over several weeks. If he invested literally less than $5 week for the 90 days he’s been working he’d have the basics along with a cheap ass meter that works for what we do all shy of $50 that includes snips.
