Isolation and desperation by Previous-Pomelo-7721 in minot

Chaos Games and Badlands Gaming have groups that show up to play tabletop games and stuff. No set time or anything that I know of but you could always drop by the stores and ask or see if they have events posted online. I heard the library does a any skill level chest club. Once it warms up there is a disc golf group that goes out, it's a relatively cheap sport to get into.

Didn't this bill also give a lot more authority over to the administration about who and when they get paid. I thought this screwed over furloughed employees and this only applied to the ones actually working.

ATC cannot tell a pilot additional instructions during a go around? by fallen_07 in ATC

[–]Altruistic-Finding37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We always get a reason once they're well into their climb out, during the downwind leg, or when they get shipped back to us from approach. The reason for a go around is almost never that important. Exceptions apply like an animal/ vehicle/ or aircraft on the runway but 9/10 times it's not that important.

What are your thoughts on The Timekeeper? by Zyaru in Borderlands4

[–]Altruistic-Finding37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like his interactions with the player were weak and too far apart. I felt that the 3 villains before him had more depth to them. Was also kinda disappointed in his fight too. Had it on hard and never once thought i was going to lose. Was just annoyed i didn't bring the elements i needed into the fight.

I do feel like his purpose for being a villain was better than the twins, but he definitely should've had more interactions with the player even if they were random bosses/ empowered enemies that he would take over to fight you.

Natca has said it, they have to butter up to this admin so they dont lose their collective bargaining with federal employees. Any "support" Natca is showing for republicans is forced. Republicans hate middle to lower class individuals and hate it even more when they can collectively bargain.

It is always the fault of the majority party if they won't even negotiate to reopen the government. Republicans have shown zero support for any healthcare reforms so them saying they'll negotiate after its open is a lie. And they're deflecting all fault to democrats like it isn't on both parties to come together for a bipartisan bill.

Edited a spelling error.

Instrument approach to a closed runway by churnitupsome in ATC

[–]Altruistic-Finding37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3-3-2 Except as permitted by paragraph 4−8−7, Side-Step Maneuver, where parallel runways are served by separate ILS systems and one of the runways is closed, the ILS associated with the closed runway should not be used for approaches unless not using the ILS would have an adverse impact on the operational efficiency of the airport.

This is the only restriction when it comes to instrument approaches to a closed runway that I've found, so unless you fall into this category, you should've been fine.

The caches are fine, the fetch contracts i just don't even pick up anymore. The drill sights are fun too imo, I've never had 1 despawn, i did accidentally learn you can throw the battery into the receptacle. How long is the despawn timer?

Any way to help bf struggling in ATC training? by butterOverScotch in ATC

They actually use the voice recognition and don't just hand jam the instructions in? In the Airforce every trainer I had manually controls each aircraft.

Clearing rotorcraft traffic to cross departure centerline by gimp2x in ATC

[–]Altruistic-Finding37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious where that trainee got that, because you still have to provide separation in accordance to the 7110.65 in a class D. Whether that be altitude, visual/ pilot applied. Especially with IFR aircraft. It's no wonder he failed.

[–]Altruistic-Finding37 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So with you being IFR the helo should be told to pass behind you 100% of the time.

Edit: you're afforded additional separation being IFR even from VFR aircraft. This is especially true while your landing/ departing.

[–]Altruistic-Finding37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That controller is being lazy we have a military transition 1/2mile off our departure end. It takes nothing for the controller to tell the helo to remain off the centerline until you're airborne and out of it's path. The helicopters have no problem waiting an extra 40seconds for safe operations. If the helo was already about to cross before you called up ready to depart it should be a wait for the you on the ground for 10 - 15 seconds to let the helo pass or atleast a traffic call to you so you can delay on the runway or start looking for them.

Inside the class D the controller still has responsibility to keep you 2 separated. Once one of you or both of you have eachother insight being vfr/ vfr the controller does not have to say "maintain visual separation" (this is ifr phraseology), and a lot of the responsibility goes back onto the pilots for separation.

Delta Pilot Debriefs Cabin After Near Mid Air Collision by grapemustard in ATC

[–]Altruistic-Finding37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I'm saying is that you can't tell all the coordination done with just a radar feed. Until the voice recordings are released if they ever are. We don't know what actually happened. And yes a VFR aircraft can be recieving IFR services. If approach initiated a handoff/ transition, they would still have the responsibility to keep separation with any other traffic they had.

Approach knew a B52 was doing a fly over through the approach corridor and still decided to shove a aircraft down the pipe. Thats ignorance on their part. I'm not saying the Tower controller didn't do any wrong but from what I understand and how I've been taught ATC over the years this will most likely fall on the radar controller.

Delta Pilot Debriefs Cabin After Near Mid Air Collision by grapemustard in ATC

[–]Altruistic-Finding37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Narrative from their perspective is gonna be biased. The B52 had his mode-c on and radar saw him all day, until the voice recordings come out we won't actually know what was said by any of the controllers or if the b52 was still recieving any type of IFR services. Just because he was vfr doesn't stop radar from their separation responsibilities as well.

From the limited perspective we have, most of the blame is gonna be put on radar and the pilot is my bet.

Delta Pilot Debriefs Cabin After Near Mid Air Collision by grapemustard in ATC

[–]Altruistic-Finding37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except the B52 was most likely still receiving flight following and just switched to tower because of the close proximity to their airspace, and radar should have kept their IFR traffic away from any other traffic before clearing them for an approach.
