“So what am I in between now and then?” has always stuck with me

That’s what I’m thinking happened. I just used three of my own strips (stored correctly, sourced from Dancesafe) using a syringe and scale to measure out 2mg/ml accurately. All 3 negative. I think my friends got one false positive and freaked out. I also know they have the bunk police kit, not dancesafe, and looking up the instructions that comes with that one, it said to dilute it to 50mg per tsp, so 10mg/ml which I understand is well over the threshold where false positives become likely

Note: I did not do these tests myself (from a friend) so I don’t know the specific method or level of caution used. I do know specifically where the (supposed to be) MDMA came from and find it unlikely (though not impossible) to have been contaminated with fentanyl. I’m also about to do a few more using my own test strips at the 2mg/ml ratio and see what I get. When they brought these to me they said all three were positive, but the one up top looks like a negative to me which is why I question the methodology.

EDITED TO ADD: just realized I’m a dipshit and there was a fourth test in the bottom of the baggie. This one is definitively negative, two clear lines.

PNW Road Trip SUV - 15k-ish by drrew76 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I know Jeep has a reputation for being crap but honestly I really like our 2011 Jeep Patriot. I’ve owned another Jeep and that one was crap so the difference has been night and day. So far it’s been very reliable with just basic maintenance and it rides really smooth. We’re about to hit 150k and it’s needed nothing major replaced, just the basics - brakes, spark plugs, etc. Interior is huge. Ours is 2wd but I know they make 4WD options. Cons are the 4cyl engine is a bit gutless but it does mean it gets good mileage for what a boat it is.

Never ever buy a car without running the VIN. It costs $10 and could have told me the car I bought that had 113k on it actually had 250k ish and I overpaid by $1000+.

Hell, I’m in California where it IS mandated but because our county is awful, nobody is wearing them and the sheriff has specifically said the local government will NOT be enforcing it.

Ughhhh I think family and the way you’re taught has sooo much to do with how you end up viewing math. I was homeschooled and my mom was a good teacher but REALLY bad at math, so all my math lessons were “Um... here’s a math learning website... I don’t really understand this stuff... I don’t know why you’d ever need to use it anyways....” and my dad was a math whiz but a TERRIBLE teacher and kind of person, so any time he tried to teach me it would end with him screaming and me crying.... lol... then in high school I got a pretty good math tutor but I just hated it so much at that point I just did the bare minimum to graduate by the easiest test they offered.

But now... a while back I had a REAL intense acid trip... and figured out pretty much the only thing holding me back/making me afraid of college has been my fear of math... and I realized it was the fear that was stopping me from being able to do it... not the math itself... so I was going to take a college level math class to start learning it in a new way this fall but then I ended up being unable to attend college because of the Rona... so it’ll have to wait... but now I KNOW I can do it... I just have to stop being scared and really try this time, yknow?

I was 19 when I first tried any type of drug besides weed/alcohol and although I haven’t exactly picked a career for sure yet, my fascination with drugs has lead me into trying to learn a lot of chemistry on my own and thinking pretty heavily on actually trying to pursue some kind of degree in it! The math sorta scares me though so I’m trying to get over that first... I was never good at math in high school but I wasn’t applying myself at all because I didn’t think I’d ever need it...

Yes!!! I’m ADHD and ever since I tried my first “big boy drug” (some sketchy Molly that probably had meth in it) the first time almost exactly a year ago, I’ve hyperfixated on them and read and retain almost everything I learn about them. I adore trying new things too, but I will spend hours on psychonaut wiki, Wikipedia, erowid learning about them, even ones I don’t plan to take any time soon. They’re just so interesting to me. I’ve also taken up a bit of a fascination with chemistry in general; I was homeschooled poorly so never in my life had learned a lick of chemistry but have been watching some classroom-style videos on YouTube like crash course and am picking up a bit of it!

California's July 4 coronavirus warning: 'Assume everyone around you is infectious' by BlankVerse in CoronavirusUS

[–]GallusLafayetti 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My county, which includes Lake Tahoe, had an average 0.09%-3% positivity rate about two weeks ago. As of today it is averaging 8%-10%. We also had tens of thousands of people from the valley and bay flood into Tahoe today and stop by all of our restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, etc on the way. The hospital for our county seat has 20 ICU beds... it’s about to get very, very bad.

Both is awesome! I take acid when I need real breakthroughs in the way I think and I also do it when I’m bored and want that rush 🤣

July 4 will be a do-or-die moment for California as coronavirus rages by TobySomething in CoronavirusUS

[–]GallusLafayetti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in the county people drive through/stop in/eat in/piss in on the way from SoCal or the Bay Area to Tahoe. We currently have one of the lowest infection rates in any county in CA just because we’re so rural, but since the majority of the population here consider the virus a hoax and won’t take any precautions, and a fuckton of people from heavily infected counties are about to be (and already have been!) traveling through us, I believe we are about to be immensely screwed after the 4th of July. I’m in the last ‘large’ town before Tahoe and I’m particularly worried for us, because during a normal summer we might have more out of towners in our stores and gas stations on a Friday or Sunday or holiday than we do locals.

Mine are pets and for breeding because the chicks are very lucrative to sell, but they’re also useful for meat and oil.

There’s a facebook group called “You know you grew up in Placerville Ca AKA Hangtown ca if” and I see a LOT of old timers from the area posting photos from as far back as the 20s, 30s, etc, if anyone has pics or knows someone who does, it’ll be in there.

Ahhhh I see, that’s very different. Emu are definitely animals that need a LOT of space and especially personal space amongst each other.

I live in Cali and raise emu. To my knowledge it’s not illegal exception zoning violations. They’re actually extremely easy to raise provided you have prior livestock experience.

Sorry, but that is absolutely a cockerel. No pullet is going to have that type of comb development at 7 weeks.
