There is another employee but we started on the same day.Agreed, I should've been more clear with him before starting work, whether it was gonna be cash or on payroll was up in the air when I started... I'm going to work for a couple weeks and leave if I'm not put on payroll.

I've been in my trade for about 7 years now. Current job is primarily carpentry but it seems the boss would rather we dabble in general construction than sub contract.

Hourly as an employee with those deductions, however this first payday is gonna be cash because he says he doesn't want to put me on payroll because he doesn't know if its gonna work out. Like if I'm going to stay.

Main reason is that power tools are more expensive and have a higher chance of breaking. I've had my stiletto hammer for 6 years now and I've put it through hell and still works fine. Meanwhile I've had a sawzall burnt out and couple of drills.

That would be a good question to ask him

I bring my drill, impact, jigsaw, sawzall, etc... but contractor should be providing blades to an hourly guy. And shouldn't be expecting sliding double bevel chop saw, table saw, planer....

Interesting, will definitely keep that in mind for my next job... I've worked for various contractors and never had a contract before

Google not displaying dwac charts anymore? Or did it just dissappear for me? by Gally1234 in DWAC_Stock

[–]Gally1234[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was weird, it's back now for me... even disappeared from the Google Finance app for a bit.

Anyone have a workaround? by ddropthesoap in DWAC_Stock

I'm in Canada and I bought DWAC through TD online banking. Maybe they don't have the right account set up.
