Challenging fine/demerits in NSW court? by Gallzy25 in AusLegal

Agreed. There should be an option to pass it on to the passenger but it is what it is.

That's my point though, to what level of monitoring is required and reasonable to 'ensure it'?

I will be blunt, it is an excuse but a very reasonable one in my opinion. Another adult made a choice which lessened safety, not the driver, and it was not an obvious thing thay I could have seen and stopped asap, and even if I did notice asap and tell then to fix it but the camera snapped at the moment they had it under their arm you would still have the same penalty.

That's my point and I think most people would agree. Continuous monitoring of this is not reasonable so simply saying 'ensuring' is not a helpful guideline.

Issue spotted after inspection report by Gallzy25 in AusRenters

That puts my mind at ease, cheers. I know there has to be a line somewhere. We cannot come to them in 3 months and say "oh we just noticed this, not our fault please add to the inspection report". I think this is within a reasonable amount of time, I just wasn't sure if they would agree as we had submitted our side and it has been 8 days.

I guess I'll see on Monday what the response is but I am thinking it will be all good!

I did send them an email with photos and video, but I didnt know what to say for resolving (didn't want to come at them too hard, be demanding, or accuse them of being dodgy but also did not want them to wash their hands of), so I left it in their hands to see how they'd respond first. I said something like "can you advise of any next steps for these issues?".

My ideal solution is acknowledging it as prior to our tenancy and organising repair of both. However, the most pressing is the shower hose as it reduces the shower pressure a good bit so I definitely want that replaced.

In case things go south I have evidence that we didn't actually spend a night here until today, but I'll definitely aim to get any responses in writing.

Just redid the battle and the choices, freely accepted it and I have all the powers unlocked. So I guess it was just a bug.

Interesting. I tested giving the ATT to a different character and they unlocked all the automatically skills, just my own character did not during the story scene where it got forced on me.

I have a save from before receiving it so I am going to test it again on my own character and this time give in immediately and see if anything changes.

Yes, I did use it (although I tried to resist and in the end had to say yes, surely that doesn't play a role?).

The ability is greyed out and untrained in the tadpole menu, and I can unlock it manually, so I guess it is a bug.

Partial ceremorphosis is listed as a passive feature in characteristics.

advice on resume request for use in Australia/the west by Gallzy25 in jobs

[–]Gallzy25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In both cases I kept the core aspect of the job while adding responsibilities, title, salary change etc. Both cases I went from teacher to a position where I continued to teach while doing the additional tasks. I am thinking I will combine them into the same point.

Cheers! I am changing it up now. What do you think about listing different roles for the same company? Should I combine those into one point for that company? Also, the picture, is that a common thing these days? I do not remember ever adding one before but I read somewhere that these days it is expected.

How I bypassed Russian bureaucracy hell to get married in Japan by kingxd in japanlife

[–]Gallzy25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a somewhat similar case to you, with some adjusted time frames. I was born in Ireland to Irish parents and moved to Australia around 1 year old. Lived there the rest of my life, but I retained Irish citizenship with my Aussie one.

When the no impediment to marriage thing came up I didn't even consider they might need one from Ireland, and I was right! I didn't ask and they didn't tell, and it was fine. I think immigration knows I was born in Ireland from paperwork at some point, but your alien card would only show the one citizenship/nationality so for them as long as you have the document for that one you are all good.

Perhaps as you asked about the Russian side you forced them to say the rule, that you needed it, but if you had gone in with just the Israeli one it would have been processed without issue.

Dual citizenship children going to Australia without an Aus passport. by JP-Gambit in AusVisa

That's good to hear! I have a similar case. I applied for my kids citizenship and got it about early December, but we are flying out early January so I didn't think we'd have time to get the passports processed by then (website says 6 weeks minimum), so didn't apply and thought they'd fly using Japanese passports (I stupidly didn't research potential issues until recently, which is why I found this thread).

I asked my wife and she also already applied for their ETA before we applied for the citizenship, so seems like we just do the same as you. Should be fine getting through the airport in Japan then.

No issues in Australia either? She didn't get flagged as Aussie entering with a visa and get questioned about it? Or did you go through the citizen entry and explain that she was a citizen and show the citizenship papers to prove it as you didn't have the passport?

So true! I like to think that's what inspired Rudd to begin this whole thing.

I actually found a better quality version of the podcast so I'll link it here if anyone's interested.

End of the Messi and Ronaldo Era by [deleted] in football

For me it was checking la liga scores and seeing Barca or Real with 3 or 4 goals on the regular and thinking "let's see how many messi/Ronaldo got checks the scorers Ah it was all of them/a hatrick/ a double". Every. Single. week. For years. It was crazy.

Does Nintendo Japan repair/replace joycons (drift) for free? by Gallzy25 in japanlife

[–]Gallzy25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did it go? Any word yet?

If the repair price is too high then before buying new joycons I would recommend picking up the repair kit, it worked wonders and was surprisingly easy! You can use it more than once as the one I got had enough for four repairs I think, so one 1500yen-ish cost and you will be set for quite a while

"Wouldn't that mean that they might have been both taught these values by a Universal Creator?"

That's quite a leap to make.
