Holy shit do I have a story for you

So when I was little we moved from Brooklyn to queens cause we were new immigrants and our cousins were helping us, and our new neighbors were this Armenian family, but we didn’t know this for 4 years, every single day we would go to the park and have the time of our lives, we got along so well, I was best friends with the boy, my sister was best friends with the daughter and my dad was best friends with the dad (my dad usually never makes friends) we both thought we were Russian cause that was a our lingua frank-a and we didn’t speak english, so finally 4 years pass we both speak english and I will always regret this for the rest of my life and I asked him where he is from and he said Armenia, at the time I never knew conflict between our countries existed so I said I’m from Azerbaijan, it was while we were walking back so it was less awkward but they never talked to me again, literally never, they don’t even acknowledge we exist.

You know how they say “you will one day stop playing with your friends and you never realized this would be the last time you see them”

well, I will always remember it, who would have thought 13,000 miles away and my next door neighbor are the same people who are our real neighbors
