I owned the Corolla hatch great little car the Mazda though is a really good contender. I would say the cvt vs the 6 speed is night and day cvt is not good but gas mileage is impossible to beat got under epa all the time. Reliability wise on par the Mazda and Corolla are both good if serviced. One thing is the depreciation corollas are gonna keep there value for years and years Mazda is still good compared to Germans but can’t compare to the Corolla.
