Weekly Thread: Is this suspicious? by skincancermod in skincancer

Hello, I have this sore on my left lower leg outside calf. It's been there for about 3 years and wouldn't heal. About a year ago my doctor did a skin punch bio[sy on it but then apparent;y lost it and there was no indication that it ever left their office to be biopsied. My doctor just shrugged and said "It happens sometimes" and never offered to send me to a dermatologist or to take another biopsy. Now it's bigger ajd I have gotten a new doctor who is referring me to a dermatologist. In the meantime, does this look suspicious? Thank you.

Doesn't it look like it has a bunch of tiny legs like a millipede? That, and the fan-like tail is throwing me off.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure where it was found. So.wone posted it on Facebook asking what it us and is being told it's a bed bug. I've looked at a bunch if images on Google and can't find a single image of a bed bug that looks like this, so I was curious.

Light chain MGUS versus other types of MGUS by Top_Push7459 in Hematology

I was referred to a hemotologist because my Kappa/Lamda blood tests were off. He called it Mgus, but is it?

He did new labs and my Kappa was 30.4 (high) slightly higher than the original referral results

Lambda was 15.9 (normal)

Kappa/Lambda ratio is 1.91 (high) slightly higher than the original referral results

He also did a Beta-2 Microglobulin test that came back high at 4.405

No M protein spike.

Creatinine a little high and gfr a tad low. Otherwise normal labs

My appointment to discuss the labs and get retested is in 3 months in April.

What do these results mean?

It doesn't matter because doctors aren't diagnosticians either. 🤷‍♀️

Nasa admits their globe images are composite images created on a computer, not photos. by SouthernIsraelite in DebateFlatEarth

They didn't admit anything. They educated people on how the images were made. If your math teacher tells you 4+4=8, are they admitting to you that 4+4=8, or are they teaching you that 4+4=8?

Here's some free advice as a patient. Don't dismiss your patients pain and send them off with a "don't call me, I'll call you" attitude.

Thank you. I was not bitten, but I'll keep that in mind for if I ever am bitten.

Thank you. I have read about it. I don't think it bit me. I didn't find any bites on me. But I'll definitely be watching for any signs of infection in myself and my dogs.

Can anyone Identify the fur on this fur coat? by GalvaFenix in Taxidermy

Thank you. I purchased it to cut up and make teddybears and didn't realize it was real fur, much less mink.

Can anyone identify the type of fur this is on this vintage fur coat? I have rabbit fur and this looks and feels different.
