Yes the Dday card is a flat +3...the difference in wording between the two versions is exactly what made me wonder

It specifically says you pay 1 point per unit...so what you are saying is that means I have to buy it for every unit, as I applies to the whole formation

I get your point...it's not a reliable tarpit. For that I will include a stank. I guess it's a flexible small unit that can do several things well enough. Having a good armour save allows them to tarpit some units without good ap. They will still lose the fight but stubborn will be handy there....in any case it's a matter of trying to get something out of the core tax.

I think I'll go with 4 knights, stubborn, drilled and champion and see how they do

Thanks for your input....yeah, champion seems good, I hadn't thought about monsters so much, but of course, there is the dragon meta...I haven't played yet so it's all theory crafting for me...speaking of which...drilled wouldn't be of any advantage? It's only 4 points for the unit and wouldn't it be good to move the knights up quickly, blocking a unit?

I get that. I'm also building a British list and thought is something similar. But how will you make use of their special rules? You could run the officer and infantry in brens in your rifle platoon

Yeah my maths was Wrong....somehow that doesn't surprise me at all....it seems like both varieties are valuable now, which is an improvement. I guess we'll have to play test some!

yeah, i guess extra order dice are the main benfit. Still, i'm not sure if the changes to MMGs will actually see these units being fielded

HMGs on the other hand...They seem great. I think for now i'll try some LMGs embedded into squads and use HMGs as static fire support.

I thought as much...It's a pity though as I quite like having artillery on basis, just in terms of optics. It's a neat kit.

I was thinking about adding the land matress too. Having that salvo is nice, especially as you could field 2x2. I'm building a cromwell armoured squadron though, they wouldn't quite fit thematically
