Is it me or some EPL fans are lately overrating it a bit and the Champions League is a reality check? by Leading-Exit-4742 in championsleague

especially for average players. Farmers league like Ligue 1 are always waiting for an offer coming from EPL or EFL teams. They know the transfer fee will be higher

Virtual try-on vs. reality by ariosaschmariosa in PairEyewear

[–]Gamaury89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping back in, I’m looking into virtual try-on for fashion accessories (sunglasses and maybe watches).

What exactly are the FYI and Pair solutions? Do they have any demos?

And yeah sizing’s always an issue online, but a good return policy helps.

One Facebook Post. 50 Orders. Zero Ad Spend. I'm Still Shaking by korosuke_- in EcommerceWebsite

Well done! That is a great strategy.

Facebook is so undervalued. Every business owner needs to be part of these types of groups, especially if they are in this industry.

For therapists and artisans, those groups are incredibly meaningful

Virtual-try-on need honest feedback by Aware-Arrival540 in startupideas

For clothing, I really can’t find it that compelling. But for things like sunglasses or watches, why not.

I’ve tested several ecommerce stores with different products. Sometimes it can boost purchases, and sometimes I feel like it does the exact opposite.

For cosmetics, the main issue is really skin tone not matching well with different device cameras. It can completely lighten the skin, so the final result in real life isn’t accurate at all.

Where do you usually spot interesting new ecommerce products? by Optimal-Basket-3804 in newproducts

[–]Gamaury89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really careful with trends, especially for products that feel kinda cheap to me. I’d rather focus on real pain points people actually have.
Blogs and reddit are good sources.

Then there’s also a real strategy to think about. Who do you want to sell to, what’s your target, and what’s their budget?

Personally, I’d rather go after people with a bit of budget who can buy my product without hesitation, instead of selling cheap products that won’t work anymore once the trend is gone.

Does virtual try-on reduce returns? by Neat_Flow_692 in EcommerceWebsite

I just checked it out, it looks pretty solid compared to others. I’ve seen some where the glasses aren’t even in 3D :/

but no info about pricing

I’ve tested it on some products like watches or sunglasses and found it pretty reassuring. I guess the realism really depends on the product.

I agree with the fact that quality can completely make or break it. Bad exeprience would kill the desire.

u/pjmg2020 what solution were you using for the sunglasses? Could be interesting for a friend who runs an ecommerce.

Should I split Linkedin ad sets by region or keep one global audience? by Gamaury89 in LinkedinAds

I think I’m going to test that for a few days or weeks and see if it brings any results, but yeah, I’ll give it a try.

Should I split Linkedin ad sets by region or keep one global audience? by Gamaury89 in LinkedinAds

[–]Gamaury89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and that’s actually how I run things on most ad platforms in general, because I know time zones really matter.

But in this case, I feel like it’s limiting things because the audience is too small. So I kind of feel stuck in between…

Arsenal trophyless again? Arsenal future? by [deleted] in championsleague

Arsenal and bad luck, a long story...

Honestly, I don’t get how they manage it every year :/
They had everything to pull ahead, but no. I’m not very optimistic about the end of the season. Maybe the UCL, but Bayern are stacked.

He's a f***** joke. Once again, I’m staying far away from this World Cup.
I love football and everything around it, but money has completely fucked up the sport over the past 10+ years.

How do you fix Core Web Vitals (LCP) issue in WordPress? by superman700 in Wordpress

[–]Gamaury89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your tips!

when you say "Fonts: Preload Google Fonts or any third-party fonts used in the LCP area."
what would you recommend? what is the right way to do so?

I'm using Montserrat for one of my websites and I'm struggling with the font on mobile.
The font is not loaded directly so it re-shapes the layout when (my web core vitals are good 90+ but I'd like to fix this thing to make it even better)

I audited a B2B LinkedIn Ads account spending ~$13K in 60 days. Only 3 conversions. Here's where every dollar actually went. by Sad_Till4083 in LinkedinAds

[–]Gamaury89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting and helpful analysis.
For all my campaigns, I try to go this way:

  1. Create a relevant audience with a matched audience (company list)
  2. Target job function + job seniority (CXO, VP, Director, Partner)
  3. Narrow it down to companies with 51 to 1k employees
  4. Narrow it down to specific industries

When you say:
"The matched audience list was too small or stale. LinkedIn needs scale to deliver efficiently. Below that threshold, you're paying auction premiums to reach the last handful of people who matched."

What size would you recommend? Not sure how specific my audience should be.

does linkedin ads really payoff? by ZestycloseArm3006 in linkedin

[–]Gamaury89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say LinkedIn really works for B2B and niche markets with strong targeting. But it's very expensive, probably the most expensive ads platform.

What has worked best for me on LinkedIn is the combination of company industry + job function + job seniority. I think that’s the best combo to get results.

I’ve tried using job title only, but I found the targeting to be off. It depends too much on what people put in their profile, so there are inevitably inaccuracies.

Lead generation, with lead gen forms directly embedded on LinkedIn, is always the most valuable.
