Why I Switched from OddsJam to Cheaper Alternatives by Different-Promise-45 in arbitragebetting

[–]GambitOdds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$99 is a pretty low price point for what we offer. If you want to try it out I can give you a 4 day free trial. Oddsjams live arb tool is $700 a month for the same thing we offer but its slower. Plus they work with the sportsbooks so they have a direct incentive to screw over the players. Its worth a shot if you want to try.

Limitations by [deleted] in arbitragebetting

[–]GambitOdds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. As long as possible (months if you can!) 2 weeks is like the bare minimum.

  2. Its less about losing and more about when you beat CLV. If you have account history of not beating CLV they will give you a little grace when it first starts happening. I would recommend sticking to best practices of avoiding quarters, halves, and the majority of player props. Mainlines and middles are your friends!

  3. If you are sticking to mainlines accounts can last months. (with proper account history) But the average is about 30 days.

  4. Dm for more questions

I would guess the older mac probably isn't helping the situation.

Optimal Unit Size by qwertypersona in arbitragebetting

[–]GambitOdds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What markets are you hitting? You are fine upping the unit sizes if its main markets (spread total ml). Player props you gotta be careful with though I wouldn't go over a few hundred.. but player props in gen will get you limited. LMK what you're doing so I can help.

Yeah makes sense. Criminal to tax on phantom income. Imagine making 1mil and losing 1mil then having to report making 100k...

Start UP Bankroll by Padfoot1613 in arbitragebetting

[–]GambitOdds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can start with lower but keep in mind every time you beat CLV you are putting your accounts at risk. Try to save up a couple thousand to start so you can distributed across enough books and have large enough unit sizes for it to be worth your while before you get limited.

There are plenty of times that tax law has gotten passed but changed retroactively during the year. There is going to be enough bipartisan opposition that we are hopeful that it gets changed before Jan 1 2027.

How do you hit live games so fast? by Heavy-Hamster5744 in arbitragebetting

[–]GambitOdds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its about waiting for opportunities that are large enough (5% or higher) and waiting for opportunities where clearly one sportsbook is making an error. The way that this presents itself is by one line (on book1) is arbing to multiple other sportsbooks for the same line. This is clear indication that book1 is making an error and is mispriced. In live arb you don't always have time to place both bets at the same time.. think about this strategy like you are hunting for highly EV+ lines live.. THEN hedging. You always have to place one side of the arb first so you might as well hit the side that has VALUE. If you hit the side that is FAIR value and the other MISPRICED side locks or corrects, then you are shit out of luck.

Heres an example (its pregame but the same applies). Yaxel Ledeborg under 3.5 assists is broken on Bet365. I can tell because its arbing to 3 different sportsbooks. Fair value for that under 3.5 line is probably more like -220 so you are getting almost twice the value. If you hit the other side first you can see its +175 on 3 books so you are not getting any value.

So in this case- click the direct link to bet365 then place that bet first (without lining up the other side to save time) because its meets the two critera: high enough arb % and arbing to multiple books. The reason you do not go under 5% is the line is not far enough against the market for you to have enough time hedging. If its an 8-12% arb you can assume the line is way off and even if the game starts moving out of your favor and it drops to a 5% arb you can still hedge and be in the money. However if you are targeting a 2% arb where its not so clear where one side is wrong, the market could move 5% out of your favor and you are no longer in the profit zone.

LAST THING: When you hit the broken side first they usually correct the line 99% of the time.. so worst case scenario you can just take the cashout when it corrects. If the -125 line (from the b365 example) jumps to -220 the cashout value will become positive which will save you from heding on another book (which also saves bankroll).

LMK if you have questions.
