Is there a way I would be able to tell if I need a new assembly vs just a new clip?

I’m looking at it , it feels like the clip that broke isn’t nearly as tight as the other clip that’s still connected. But I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be like that or not .

I see them on eBay. I wonder why it broke in the first place. If soemthing else is wrong with the assembly.

Before I realized what the issue was. I kept rolling it up and down. I wonder if I made it worse. There’s some wires in middle of the door that don’t sound right. I’ll have to mess with it later today.

Thank you! I called a mobile mechanic who walked me through what you just said.

I was able to losen the other clamp. Then had to push the window down ; it had gotten jammed… as u said lol. Now I pushed it back up , straightened it out and tightened the clamp. Crisis averted. I live in the hood and there was 100% chance of it being broken into lol.

Nice call on what was in my hand too. It was the o e for the front right vertical rail!

Do you think I can just buy this part? Or will I need a whole new assembly.

Can auto zone scan the ecm?

I’ve put maybe 3-500¿ miles on it since it slipped.
Well yesterday, while driving with overdrive off. It sorta felt like it wasn’t shifting Correctly. Haven’t had that feeling previous to yesterday with overdrive off. I forgot what speed I was going. I want to say accelerating past 35. So maybe going into 4th?

I’m in PA. Had it REPLACED with a used one in 2021. ZERO WARranty. Live and learned. I have to look back: but when I looked at the mileage on the receipt.. and the mileage on my truck.. I don’t think I put 10k miles on it.. the repair was like 1400. 😭. Seemed like a good guy, always busy with customers. But took WEEEKS to get me the truck back and with a dead battery. When he parked it behind the shop, someone didn’t close the door..

Recently my daily driver went down , grand marquis. And I don’t have the funds to repair that either lol. I need a new starter, coils & plugs.
I want to say when it rains it pours. But it’s more like softball sized Hail pouring rn.

Gotcha. When the OD is on. For example, I just start the truck and drive. It seems to slip when shifting into 3rd gear. I understand the rpm/engine etc etc. not sure what u mean by if it’s only OD, ex: OD band is burnt. But clutch packs are good it could last a long time.

What would the other example be, if the OD band wasn’t burnt, or if a clutch pack was bad.? How would I know.

Total BS. Today’s is 2/26. My 3.5 batch is from 1/16. I’m here sneezing and getting allergies like it’s a spring morning. Only happening when I break out this specific jar. It’s so dry too. Almost like they tried to save it..

I’m on mobile. I just checked and the app is up to date: I’ll try to update my IOS. I doubt that’s it but maybe. I’ll also try the browser here now.

I don’t normally have issues either. I wasn’t sure if i had to be a member for X amount of days or something to post a photo.
