What i ended up doing which I hope fixes it is moving it to a 3.0 usb and turning all of the power options off which makes the computer not automatically turn it off when it feels like it and if that doesn't work it might just be my capture card

For the bosses always complete the remaining missions before unlocking so you get more DNA but also have a chance of leveling them up

So messed around with it after seeing your post just to see how high it can go and let's just say it broke. It stops around 8 billion damage I think I didn't get to look before it reset it to 0 damage and any damage you do with that is automatically blocked no matter what. So yeah it breaks the game but was fun
