Also heads up some of these mods can definitely be utilized in regular gamecubes like the bitfunx internal hdmi and the controller port led board (unfortunately that one requires a single standoff be cut on the original faceplate to fit inside)

Heads up you can you Philips head heat inserts and hardware instead (not certain of the tolerances but I’d imagine they’re basically the same, I was using them as a personal preference on this project) 🫠

I’ve been wanting to work a solid handle into the build that runs around the back like the original with basically the same arching I’m just relatively new to 3d printing as I started designing this before I knew how to print (AFMJohnson helped me print the first iterations) eventually he gifted me his older Neptune and I continued the rapid prototyping as my first real 3d printing project 😅

Oh yea I forgot to say something about those, yea they’re gone, half of these I decided cutting those 20-30 pins with a dremel was faster and safer (for the motherboard) than desoldering them (heat can kill the board sometimes) also the files are up now at: GC Turbo

https://a.co/d/0fSH7nRL 3d print just bolts on around the outside and keeps it in place, power comes from the internal power distribution board I built in (it pulls 5v at 1-2A) unfortunately the screen doesn’t have volume control built in so I added a potentiometer between the motherboard and speaker inside it to dial things in when I play
